Scala or Escala on Britains Got Talent
I think these girls are great but have a couple of niggles/questions!?!
Were they not originally called 'Scala', where'd the prefix 'e' come from!? Also they are hailed as 'original' but Bond did something very similar not so long ago! Does the show and it's judges not know anything! Still they're probably the best combination of talent, style and beauty in the competition and good luck to them. |

I thought it was just me who thought they were called Scala.

I would assume perhaps that there is already a musical group somewhere called Scala, and as such they have had to change their name, albeit only slightly so people still know it's the same group. Think of it like when Liberty became Liberty X.

Well there's their official website here, that shows the change:
http://www.escalamusic.com/ Which I was forwarded from my original bookmark from http://www.scalamusic.net and a fansite here: http://www.scalagirls.co.uk/?gclid=C...FQHllAodyzdDhQ How odd... Maybe theres some other act called Scala somewhere and didn't want to risk clashing... |

Maybe the Scala nightclub or Scala theatre complained?

There's a Beligian Choir called Scala that complained I think.

Bond are better musicians and better looking. I can't agree at all with your last sentence. Two of the girls are very pretty. The others ................ well ................. |

I've just noticed that the backing music during Escala's intro before their performance is actually Bond's rendition of 'Palladio'!
Somone on the show is clearly aware of a similar group coming before them. Hey ho, it's Cowell's TV show, and he obviously sees money to be made from them... |

Aye, eScala did change their name due to a Belgium group having the same name and copyright issues.
With the other URLS given, there is also a huge fansite at http://www.escalafansite.com. |
