I have all the Big Brother 7 and Big Brother 8 contestants on my Facebook/MySpace. I've been stalking them for ages.

*evil laugh*

A: I wouldn't allow my child to perform on a reality tv show
B: If my child had a internet profile i would be heavy censoring/monitoring it anyway.

Personally, i think the internet is far to often blamed for poor parenting.

That's all I was meaning! I guess I should've worded it better at the start, as it was people talking about giving out the younger contestants profile details. I guess I was so angry when I wrote my original opening paragraph that I rushed it!

Lol DON'T apologise you have a right to an opinion. I was just saying that most celebs these days like to have myspace and facebook to keep in touch with fans and promote there music/shows/gigs or whatever they are doing..

But as this years BGT is mainly full of children than internet profiles should be a big NO NO or they should be on private and monitored by a parent or guardian.

Surely people have the option to go either public or private?

Exactly!

I think to be able to access the contestants Social Networking profiles easily can work in their benefit.
I mean, if you have tons of pictures/videos of your act, then people could see that as another mini-audition. Also, with 'Strike', I missed their acts on the show, so popping onto their 'OPEN' Bebo, I was able to see the Video (of the act), acts of them performing (generally) and also gave you an idea of their lives (just ordinary people - with a talent).

I don't see what all the 'huff' is about. As already mentioned, if you create a Social Networking Profile, and leave it closed/private, that is a sign, that it is only intended for viewing of approved persons. However, leaving it open is a sign that it is there for public viewing in a public domain!

Different with children though - IIRC, they're hidden by default.

I don't see a problem with adding people if their profiles are public. If you're going on TV, if people know your name and like you the chances are they'll google you and FB you etc. I keep my profile private, if I was famous (not likely...lol) then I'd definitley do so.

Harsh but true!

PS If anyone has the phone numbers of anyone of the girls in Escala's then feel free to send them to me. ”

Well their phone number is readily available on their Web site. Why do you want it? Are you thinking of booking them?

George has MySpace? Is it his or is it a fan group?

I tried to add Lee Mead to myspace but he hasn't accepted me as a friend. Apart from that, I have no one interesting...except my best friend's hamster!

The problem is that after they win BGT the cost of the show will be phenomenal. So I'm to ask them personally!
