I'm glad Jodie won, like many have said, her consistency through out this series has been really great, so I'm happy

Overall tonight, IMO, Jessie did better at everything, and the way she did 'As long As He needs Me' was But there's no way she could do that 8 times a week, I think. There have been moments through out this competition when Jessie has been really bad IMO, but some points where she's been brilliant.

She has been very variable, but she did herself proud last night.

I wonder if those drama schools that refused her will be changing their minds!!

That could be her birth mother but i am bit unsure because a few weeks back i think i saw a white woman with blonde hair who was claiming to be her mother when they went to Isle of Man and it was changed to the Isle of Sam.

i am happy for jodie obviously but seeing Jessie get so far and for someone as young as her to be told she's not Nancy must be terrible, well it's terrible for anyone but seeing Jessie's sad face after everything she did was just quite upsetting.

Well done to Jodie though.

As emotional as Jodie, the winner was (only to be expected!) I think seeing Jessie's emotional breakdown after being told she wasn't Nancy was maybe an indicator that it wasn't her time yet. She is so young and she took it so hard (funnily enough in contrast to the remarkably poised Sam earlier.)

This has been a great learning ground for Jessie - but I think the right decision was made. Not yet. Not yet - but soon. And out of the glare of tv madness.

Jodie's time is now. She's earned it.

I think the result was the best that could have happened for both Jodie and Jessie! Jodie is right for the part and is ready now, Jessie I didn't feel was quite ready, and maybe if she'd won it would have been too much too soon fo her. Now she has time to prepare herself for a role and she will have a great future too! Well done to both!!

Thought Jessie's performances in the final BOTH her singing & performance were an absolute tour de force - just brilliant, she should be very very proud of herself AND very interesting that 2 of the most famous AND powerful powerhouses of Musical Theatre, ALW & Cameron McIntosh are clearly very very impressed with Jessie - I really hope she gets something good out of this & is on the West-End Stage VERY soon! She deserves it! like the Marias, Helena, Siobhan, & Josephs, Ben etc etc all have rolls on the west end stage now - so here's hoping for Jessie!

Prime example, Aoife (also Irish !!) came 4th and ended up Playing the LEAD roll a few days a week and DID become "Maria" after all !!

As for JB & DVO clear delight that Jessie didn't quite win, well, ...................?? BUT never mind them, I have no doubt Jessie will have great success.

This just doesnt sit with me right...........if they wanted Jessie so much......why in the final did they show her acting task and the reactions from DVO and Barbara, it wasnt her best performance. I just get the feeling we have ben suckered.......lol and Im a Jodie fan........

The performance of the night has to go to the Nancys and Olivers in Never Forget!
How amazingly brilliant was it! Not a dodgy vocal in sight either!

Well done Jodie, I thought Jessie outshone her on the night, and I don't think she's Nancy, but she won fair and square, and was a lot better than alot of the contenders in the series.

I just felt Jodies voice was quite weak last night, like she really struggled with some of the higher notes and I wasn't blown away by her ALAHNM. I expected alot more, Jessie's was streets ahead.

That's true. I think the nerves just got to Jessie. I didn't realize she broke right down. it is a bit of the whole situation and hard work and not winning, and a bit of youth mixed in.

she is just breaking in her emotional teeth..........she is only 17 and has a lot to learn......I was impressed at Sam exit, she was very mature for her age.

Jessie has been on a high and Im sure the CAM and ALW camp didnt set her up to believe she may not get it. It must have been a shock, I think DVO and JB were much more realistic......im sure they will both help Jessie going forward.......

I do wonder how Jessie would have been if she went first though, probably a lot more controlled. It was the absolute end of the show, and she probably still had some hope left to win; she just let it all go and will be seen as far too emotional. looks that she was i know. so, Jessie and Sam are same age or is Jessie younger, i thought Sam was they youngest contestant so they said but thought she was 18. anyway.
DVO and JB were just opinionated. CM and ALW have cast hundreds of people over their career and saw a lot more than we did than the snippets of a BBC reality show, they probably truly believed with 6 months she could pull of a 4 show a week supporting performance. they all could really. it isn't Evita or anything.

From watching it again, I could see the show was set up to Jessies strengths. No movement, sitting, walking, songs in her vocal range. Coming on last, the big money note at the end. All things which Jessie is very good at. Oliver will not be set up for her strengths, the expectation for her was false. Im sure in a few years Jessie will be brilliant......I have no doubt.....but I think the public could see what was happening and didnt want a raw Nancy. Their choice.

some girls will probably even pick up lead roles and were wanted for bigger roles anyway. i agree, jessie has time and will get there soon. i don't blame her for being emotional though, not at all. holy sh*t, live tv, a final of show that she has worked hard it, emotions run high anyway.

Sam was bottom 2 the previous week, so would have had a good idea that she would go first, she wouldn't have had the same expectation of winning.
Jessie was never bottom 2 so of course knew she was in with a shot.
Who can blame her for being upset.
