It's really annoying me, the way they keep saying that their lives will end, they'll be washed up, their lives will be saved, etc. etc., if they don't win - I've never heard anything so ridiculous in my life, especially coming from kids and teenagers.

That George is the worst - "winning will save my life" - has he got some terminal disease or something?! I suspect not, so why is he in that frame of mind? It's crazy, and his parents shouldn't have allowed him to get into that kind of rut - it's only dancing FFS, there's hell of a lot of other things one can do with one's life.

These people seem to be suffering from an obsession verging on the unhealthy - does anyone agree?!!

Yeah, I agree. I guess it depends on the performer to a certain extent though. For instance, for some of the poorer participants maybe £100,000 really could change their lives.

For some of them such as Faryl and Escala, I can see them being offered recording contracts irregardless of whether or not they win tonight.

George was the most melodramatic.

"I'm singing to save my life" or something along those lines.

Get a grip lad

I laughed at that - he didn't die when he didn't get through last year!
