I'm not saying the public are wrong as Jodie will do a great job but in the eyes of ALW and CM it was a bad decision. It's CM's show and he said "Jessie is Nancy".

All of their plotting and manipulating was surely going to backfire on them in the end.

And it is the PUBLICs decision- not CM he is irrelevant when it comes to the decision as he has no input

Jodie is not stupid- she'll make sure she gets what she has won- Might be an idea to have someone with her when the contracts get sorted

If they wanted to choose Nancy themselves they should have done it behind the scenes then, without a TV show!

Its a comfort for me knowing that Jessie was always CM choice and not Jodie as much as i liked Jodie, Jessie was his girl she would have given a new burst of life in to the character which Jodie could never have. I trust that either CM or ALW will give her a role in something because i can't see them letting her go that easily

Having no allegiance to either of the finalists, I was stunned to hear Jodie's name announced as the winner but in hindsight I shouldn't have been surprised given the GBP's prediliction for going against the blatant favouritism.

Jodie is the people's Nancy - though possibly in the same way as Leon was the people's pop sensation . As ALW said she always was in danger of getting the popular vote who ever did better in the final.

The whole show though has been bizarre, Why put Jodie in if you didn't want her and she was vote friendly? Why offer traditional Nancy if you don't want it? Why knock out the people who could act better than her as a traditional Nancy - if they were unpopular they needed to stay if you didn't want traditional Nancy . Why give such terrible songs or bizarre elimination choices to Amy, Tara Francesca, Sarah, Rachel and Ashley just to end up with Jodie instead? Why not give Jessie decent songs to sing every week or let people see her ALASNM to deal with any doubts about her being able to act the role. Why not end up with a choice of either all youngsters or more experienced actresses and Jessie so either winning was safe.? Why have the panel looking horribly split when it was clear who everyone that mattered wanted? Why end up undermining the winner by making it clear they are not what you want and derailing the contender as well? Ending up with a final that Jessie was outstanding in and then announcing Jodie was the winner to faint praise just seems like a process that went horribly wrong somewhere. The show has been clearly steered but ultimately onto rocks.

Many people think the same on this boards; that it was the wrong result. The two arguably most credible judges on the panel thought it was the wrong result.

When a result like this angers enough people to the point of people saying it was incorrect entirely, telling people to "get over it" won't really suffice.

I said on a previous thread that when they choose the final 8/10/12 contstants, they need to be sure that they would be happy with any of them should they win.

It must be gutting for Jodie to win by public (who at the end end of the day are the bums on seats!) vote, but know that the powers that be don't want her.

If they wanted a young raw untested actress in the role, why bother putting Jodie through all the hoops only to hurt her like that in the final.

Week after week, Jodie has shown guts, determination and pure talent. She has delivered every crap song they gave her with panache, and shown that she fully deserves to be where she is. She has shown that she can sing anything well and now that she can go back to her normal routine, I'm sure she can get back to her diet and exercise routine which will help her deliver her 8 shows a week.

I think your post is harsh considering that it is a reply to someone who said that people who voted for Jodie were "wrong". We can all vote for whoever we like and, at the end of the day, the paying public are the judges and ALW and CM have to listen to them.

You (one) can ruminate all you like on the why's and wherefore's of the show but ultimately the public chose Jodie, for better or worse. I personally think there've been some horrendous decisions made and some atrocious comments made that have swayed the vote but if Jessie truly was the 'chosen one' then they were playing a very dangerous game

She will get no choice. She either signs the contract or does not. The contract allows either side as well to terminated it without notice in the first three months.

Well like it or not Jodie has one. To be honest they had a very poor choice in the final. Jodie now has to deliver. If she does not she will be out of the show.

It seem they had already realised they had a big problem as before the final the announced that whover one would only be doing 4 performances a week.

The other interesting thing is how well this will go down with the cast. Previously the winners were competent performers with Lee & Connie. This time they have an amateur with a lot of very rogh edges.

Oh yes he does. It's his money and if Jodie doesn't come up to scratch, you can be sure she'll be dropped.

I got an almost bitter sweet feeling from tonight's show, although thrilled for Jodie (my favourite) I can't help feeling bad for her knowing that she was not favoured by Cameron or ALW. They looked pretty gutted by the results! Jodie seemed to be given dampened praise all through the shows tonight, and I truly believe she is a worthy candidate, I don't understand why ALW and Cameron didn't echo the concerns for Jessie about acting, movement and consistency? Obviously they'd rather have trained Jessie up then have Jodie!

It was a competition............jodie won it........the public want her........they need to get over it.........
