Can only say that after tonight I am convinced that Jessie should have this role

Her individual performances were magnificent & her duet with Gwion a highlight of the series for me
It would be a huge injustice if she were denied the role completely

Nothing against Jodie ~ it's lovely for her, but Jessie is supremely talented & she showed this when she pulled out all the stops tonight.

I've never rated Jessie before but tonight I thought she was sublime ... and her rendition of If He Needs Me was awesome ...

Tonight was Jessie's night.

In the end she was robbed.

Shame she waited until the final evening to show it!

If only Jessie had been so strong from start to finish. I would love to see her get a shot at playing Nancy at some point, her ALAHNM was amazing.

Of course that's the point. It was a 12 week competition, not a 6 month one. Jodie turned out good performances week after week. Jessie can't complain about the result if she held it all back for the final show. That's not how these things work.

No, she should go away and do something else (preferably get some training first to sort out her weak areas).

If the majority voted for Jodie I suspect you'd get some very unhappy punters if they turned up to find that Jessie was playing the role. It also wouldn't exactly look good for the show, would it? "We'll let you decide and make you pay for the pleasure, but if we don't like your decision we'll sneak in our favourite through the back door anyway...."

Jessie clearly wasn't 'made' for the role of Nancy, or she wouldn't have been in the runner-up position tonight.

Why should Jessie get a chance? She had a chance, that's what the last few weeks have been about. Jodie won, it's her role, she's the one who should be playing it.

I don't think she'll be understudy or do some of the shows like some people suggest (cause I think she deserves to be THE leading lady in a production, not retain the runner-up tag) but Jessie's only 18, I'm sure at some stage in her career Jessie will be Nancy.

Totally agree and i'm sure CM and BH and ALW feel the same way. Jessie is Nancy the public made a big mistake.

It's funny, I did see it tonight but never really before. But I think I only saw it tonight coz it was being EXTREMELY suggested by the programme. Which was weird to start doing that in the last week I thought.

Unfortunately, many of the GBP don't always vote on who is most suited to/deserving of a role or prize.

Using a public vote to back up a point, that's something other than popularity.....

Perhaps Jessie will get the lead in some Bill Kenwright touring show a la Craig Chalmers

Yes she can sing but she was useless at dancing and acting. It's wasn't a talent contest (as ALW kept telling us) it was about acting and dancing, can you say in all honesty that Jessie was supremely talented in those activities She was like a baby elephant when she danced.

The GBP seem to have gone bonkers tonight. Just seen the result of Britain's Got Talent - ha ha. A young break dancer, not as good as I've seen in my home town shopping mall wins, and two excellent singers (not a pair but singing alone) and a sensational quartet of girls playing classical music get nothing.

In my opinion, the people who really know what is best, will just sign up the runners up and make them into stars, whilst the others fade back into obscurity where they belong.

Excellent point. Jessie has a great voice but has to work at being an all round performer. You just can't pull it out of the bag when it suits you. If I went to London to see the show I'd expect to see a performance like Jessie offered tonight but chances are I wouldn't get it as she just wasn't consistent. With training and a bit of maturity that will change and good luck to her. Thrilled for Jodie.

Still think Sarah would have made the best Nancy

I would never pay to see Jessie as Nancy, in fact I hope I never hear her again.

I think after tonight most people would probably want to hear her again.
