Maybe people don't like him winning because they find his style of dancing boring and think there are way more talented acts in the show

Faryl Smith - Meh. Will get signed anyway so why get upset?

Escala - Ditto above, except Bond - who have been doing the same act for years are way better.

Nemisis - One of the best acts - just need to polish it up a bit.

Andrew Johnstone - better than Faryl but would have been boring if he won. Will also probably get signed.

Cheeky Monkeys - meh.

Strike - good but very out of sync tonight.

Signature - would have been pleased if they won.

George won, he is fab for his age. He works hard at it. His family will appreciate the money. He is 14 - perhaps people should be ashamed of themselves for what they are saying about him. Utterly disgusting behaviour.”

Don't think people are bitter or ungracious, but they do have a right to their opinions and forums wouldn't last five minutes if all everyone said was "how lovely/wonderful/super!" everything was.

No sweetheart, calling a nervous young lass who obviously has confidence issues a "drips" is disgusting.

A class thing? Are you off your trolley?

I don't dislike George. I just don't think he was anywhere near the most talented. I would have put at least 7 of the acts from tonight's show above him.

George will have a month of fame and then fizzle out, go back to the nice new house (100k+) that he's bought for his mum and him and live happily ever after in whatever trade he adopts (i.e. his dancing won't get him anywhere).

But tbh though I don't buy this whole 'sob story' and 'wanting a better life for his mum' nonsense. What sort of parent brings up a kid to swear on live TV?

What behaviour is disgusting?

You might also want to consider that some of your own comments are even more disgusting - particularly in relation to your description of some of the acts from your post.

Thank you Agent Gabe!!! Finally, some common sense in this thread

No doubt he would have died had the public not fallen for the sob story.

Well done to George as he's a nice enough guy, but I find his 'talent' (if you can call it that) very average and I really wish people would pack it in with the sob stories because I would class it as a form of emotional manipulation. They start on a higher platform and it gives them an unfair advantage as some people will feel inclined to vote with their heart.

Ok Apologies for calling Kate a drip. I can see that i've contradicted myself.

I just get annoyed about the things people are saying about George.

Ironic that people are moaning about me moaning about THEM!! Seems everyone can slate George but I can't have my opinion on other acts.

George won, get over it. I bet he's over the moon and I am chuffed for him.

Apart from the Kate thing, for which I have apologised for, I don't think I was that harsh about the other acts. In fact, I liked most of them although some performances were not too great tonight.

Why is it ok to slate George - who won because England are of course a nation of idiots that can't see that he has NO talent whatsoever (Yeah right). But not ok to criticise the other acts. Double standards or what?

Fair post. I applaud you for admitting that you shouldn't have said that about Kate (who I really like).

Not many posters on DS are willing to admit things like that and it is refreshing to see someone do that.

I can understand you getting annoyed about what people are saying about George but at the end of the day, if you don't believe any of it, then best just to ignore it.

Thanks for replying to me but tell me (and im not trying to be rude). How comes I got ripped apart for my opinions and therefore apologised but yet its ok to carry on about George? Not you in particular but others as well.

I shouldn't have said what I did about Kate cos YOU like her, but I like George and yet its acceptable to carry on slating a 14 year old on this thread and others?

Can you understand where i'm coming from? It just seems some peoples opinions on here are worth more than others.

George put himself forward for this competition and whilst he has won he has also offered himself up for analysis and criticism. That is not bullying chief.

You're not being rude now, so don't worry

I think the point here is that derogatory terms were used to describe Kate & Gin (i.e. 'complete drip') whereas the description of George did not stoop to this level.
