Voting Increases On Last Year
The Royal Variety Charity man said that last year the show raised £330,000. Which means there were 2,200,000 votes.
This year, it was more than £600,000 which means at least 4,000,000 votes. Even accounting for the extra shows, that's an improvement on last year: Average Votes: BGT 2006 (4 shows) - 550,000 BGT 2007 (6 shows) - 670,000 Phone scandals not making too much impact then, even with that OFCOM apology at such an inconvenient moment! |

Intertesting, thanks C14E.
How does that compare with shows such as X Factor, Strictly, etc? |

How does that compare with shows such as X Factor, Strictly, etc? However, voting does cost more for BGT at 50p compared to X Factor's 35p. |

I'll bring this thread back.
Mulhearn said more than £1m for the RVP this year. That means about 6.7 million votes, an average of more than 1.1 million votes per show and up by 67% on last year. |
