Children's Royal Variety Performance?
SecretLifeoBees
31-05-2008
Seems there are a few people who think that children shouldn't be in competition with adults on BGT.
Does anyone think that maybe they'd have been better doing two BGT, one with an adult winner to perform at the Royal Variety and a second one for those under 18 with the winner performing at the Children's Royal Variety (if it's still on the go) or whatever the equivilant is these days (is it the Princes Trust one?).
Or is it fair game for adults and children to compete against each other?

I did mention something similar the other week in another thread but I wondered how people felt now with the final out of the way?

As 2 kids made the top 3 in the finals, I'm sure there are quite a few adult finalists who would like to see kids have a separate show!

But yes, I agree; 2 shows, one for under 16s; one for adults. (

Maybe a 3rd series for animal acts? No, OK, that's going too far......................)

No. There should just be the one competition for all ages, like there currently is. Paul Potts won last year, an adult and there were children in the final with him. It just so happens this year there were a lot of talented kids and one of them won (I don't think he should have, but whatever).
