Wow, just came across this thread and amazed to see what people have amassed over the years!

Anyhoo, just a quick question - has anyone got the Potter series on VHS or DVD? I don't remember it at all but my brother in law has been after it for a while. I'm not sure if it's ever been released either but I'm sure that some of you knowledgeable types will have a better idea than me.

Yeah I bought all the Harry Potter films a while back.

Oh you mean the series with Arthur Lowe yeah got them. I could have sworn Network released these on dvd.

I know I have it either way because I remember watching it at the weekend.

some impressive posts on here.

I recorded a lot of movies, and dubbed them to DVD. Also quite a lot of sporting events. The only series I really have, is every episode of the wire, and I have never watched a single one!

I got quite a lot of merlin, and the Dr Who reboot - before giving on up them. Again, I don't think I have rewatched any of them.

now radio shows. I used to have a few odd recordings of radioactive, and the grumbleweeds, but I would absolutely love to have full sets of those two. They wouldn't air the Grumbleweeds now, as one of the characters was always doing Jimmy Savile impressions.

However, if you click through to section 70 of the ACTUAL LEGISLATION, it makes no mention of this.

Pisses me off when people upload old episodes of things like EastEnders on YouTube then the BBC report the video on copyright grounds and insist that the uploader takes the video down, but invariably the account it was uploaded with ends up being suspended thus losing every other video on the channel.
I can understand why they do this with shows that can be bought on DVD but with soaps and other things that are not available I don't see why they do it.

Because, quite simply, you didn't ask....

That's probably how they see it

Yeah that pisses me off too when they do this.

Either leave the video intact on youtube, make your own streaming site where fans can watch older episodes or RELEASE THE BLOODY THINGS FOR PEOPLE TO BUY!

There are some shows that I've been looking for on ioffer but have yet to find. They're probably gone forever.

I also miss UKNova. It seemed like you could find everything that had ever been on television EVER on there.

There was this mini-series on in the mid 90s called 'The Peacock Spring ' and also a series called 'Residents' which was on in 2001 I think. Also there was a series called 'Attachments' on in about 2000 that I wouldn't mind seeing again. All on BBC.

Also, like you I too edited out the ads and PCBH was on at 11.40PM. I had to get the remaining eps (after ITV dropped it) from Channel 5 and that was on at 4.40AM.

It's nice to meet someone as like minded. Most think I am a little around the bend. (and I couldn't care less)”

PCBH always was and still remains my favourite ever show. Nice to see like minded people who also love the show. I attempted to record them all when repeated on channel 5. Got up to episode 300+ then stopped. I had so many VHS tapes each with between 4. And 8 eps on depending if I'd double stretched the tape or not. They mostly ended up in the bin some years later. My reception was pants and so many of the recordings were poor quality.
