Has anyone ever collected long-running TV shows such as The Bill/Casualty/Holby City?

I've seen people who have collected others such as weird options like 'This morning'. Would we really watch them again

The best bit about my Virgin Cable service is I can set the box to record an entire series of shows and it give the option to write to disc, so in theory I could permanently save them.

At the mo, I'm recording:

Scrubs
Will & Grace
King of the Hill
Rising Damp
Steptoe & Son
Absolutely Fabulous

The only ones I would be tempted to save permanently are Steptoe, Rising Damp, and AbFab.

I have got the entire DVD series of Jeeves & Wooster - dunno why it cheers me up when I'm down.

I've got about 40 episodes of Scrubs to catch up on! I never watched them first time round so it's great to see them..... but not sure when I'll ever find the time!

If anyone has any Holby City episodes, please tell me, especially from around 2003/2004.

I bought all three seasons of classic 1960s sci-fi show Lost In Space.

All episodes of The Prisoner (original series, not the recent updated version). It was recently released on Blu-ray in high definition and stereo sound.

I have all episodes of the 1990s Batman: The Animated Series - one of the best ever animated shows, I reckon.

Captain Scarlet - the 1960s puppet tv show. Got all of them.

I've been collecting complete series for nearly 30 years.
Started on VHS with The Outer Limits from BBC2 ,The Avengers from C4 then Star Trek from BBC1/2.

Replaced very few with official vhs releases as most tv shows were inferior quality on shop bought tapes.

But now have literally hundreds of complete series on dvd .
Starting again on Bluray and already have The Prisoner and Star Trek TOS .
I'm sure The Avengers will be next.

Only problem is actually getting round to watching them all.

The only stuff I have left on VHS is most of Grange Hill (although copied most to dvd) and Doomwatch which strangely remains unreleased on dvd

Unoffical dvd recordings I have are the entire 60's Batman series from FX and Night Gallery (recorded for me from US tv)

Tenko - It cost around £80 and is still worth every penny. Excellent series and I have lent the set out several times to friends.

I also have a set of M.A.S.H. dvds.

Let's of these shows are real classics, some not even released on DVD, so it's great people collect them.

Didn't Challenge show a handful a few years back when they were also showing New Faces ,Crackerjack etc?

The closest I have to an OK episode is a This Is Your Life show on Les Dawson where Eamon Andrews walks onto the stage at the end of an OK show to surprise Les

I did the same to audio tape the entire 3 series (bar the so-called 'banned episodes') of classic Star Trek (well I put the mic on a stack of books ). I still have the cassettes despite later VHS-ing the whole lot, and now I have three treasured DVD boxed sets. Dreading that they might Blu-ray them as - so far - I'll have resisted the temptation to buy a player.

BTW: I used to fill up the end of VHS tapes with themes HA !
