I have, I will post tomorrow as it's a little late now and I've been busy all day so just enjoying a browse - they take about 1hr 30 mins in total and a great meal to prepare if you are busy

Just found one I made earlier hiding in the depths of my PC

BBQ Spare Ribs

1.8 kg (4lb) Chinese-style pork spareribs
Salt and freshly ground pepper
100ml (4floz) clear honey
60ml (4tbsp) dark soft brown sugar
60ml (4tbsp) tomato ketchup
30ml (2tbsp) Worcestershire Sauce
30ml (2tbsp) French Mustard
30ml (2tbsp) wine vinegar

Place the ribs in 2 oiled roasting tins and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roast the ribs in the oven at 220C (425f) Mark 7 for 20 mins

Meanwhile, put the remaining ingredients in a jug and stir well until mixed together.

Remove the ribs from the oven and lower the temperature to 200C (400F) mark 6. Pour the sauce into the tins and turn the ribs until coated. Return to the oven and roast for 1hr. Turn the ribs in the sauce several times during cooking and swap over the shelf positions of the 2 tins, if necessary.

Lower the oven temperature to 180C (350F) mark 4. Turn the ribs over in the sauce once more and continue roasting for a further 30 mins or until the meat is tender and the sauce syrupy. Serve hot, with sauce poured over the ribs.

I usually serve with egg fried rice!

Enjoy

We've become thoroughly addicted to this bbq sauce recipe - http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/535036 - it works well with ribs too - the flour makes sure the sauce stays on in a good thick coating.

Thany you. looking forward to it. I've tried all i can find in the shops, but there is always something missing from the taste. KFC used to do really nice ribs.

Wash potato, prick it with a fork, bake at 200 for an hour and a half.

Part of me is inclined to believe that you're joking, but a friend asked me this the other day too.

I tend to make my own egg fried rice, but you can buy it in the frozen section or chiller section of supermarkets.

and remember we all started somewhere

Sainsbury's egg fried rice from the chilled oriental section has shot up in price, nearly £2 for a tub now.

I find getting eggs right really difficult, they're so sensitive and there's not much margin for error - I've been cooking for years and I've only just managed to master light fluffy scrambled eggs and I still can't poach the bliddy things! Pastries, cakes, soups, curries, as complicated dish as you like all dispatched with (mostly!) no problems, but give me just an egg...!!

ETA: Baked potatoes will only take about 10 mins for a large tattie in the microwave, stab it all over with a fork before it goes in and turn it half way though. If you like a crispy skin, stick it under the grill for a few mins when it's done.

Sounds like a great recipe, would it work just as well with a rack of ribs? Also, can I use it as a marinade to leave on the ribs for a few hours in the fridge before putting in the oven?

I've not tried myself - but I don't see why not

It really is a lovely recipe (we had it last night actually!) I have used it on Pork Chops but it isn't as sticky

Marinading with it would serve to add more flavour so I would say that would be good too

I know I couldn't believe my eyes yesterday, I was doing ribs for tea and thought I would cheat - but at £2 a tub I thought better of it!

i bake em on the bbq.

halve potato, put a thin slice of butter on, dash with pepper, put the potato back together and wrap it in foil and bake it direct on the coals

I have now used this marinade on my rack of ribs twice and both times they came out absolutely fantastic. Thank you.
