Well I must admit to having opposing views to most of those expressed in your posts, but here I have to agree. Not only make up, but that other thing... what's it called again? Oh yes... acting!
However at the end of the day it isn't about ages and size and looks, it is about how well the actors perform and suspend any disbelief you may have. And frankly with Oliver! you'll probably have to put up with some disbelief anyway. I mean we aren't talking Les Miserables here, it is never going to be gritty and down to earth or indeed much like the book at all. I mean just how dark can you portray a Nancy singing Oom Pah Pah...

Burn Gorman is 5'10", unless he fibs a bit like Lee Midget Mead (I am just sore cos I am taller than him), and I am sure I read that Jodie was about 5'4". She is short compared to Graham who is less than 6' too I think. ANyway, as a torchwood fan (though not of Burn particularly), and an undecided nancy chooser, I think it will work well.
btw I did vote for Jodie in the end on the grounds of her better age and experience for what the whole thing will entail.
And Jessie will do brillliantly with a bit more experience, as Keith Jack has done. He is outstanding now - you wouldn't believe he was the same lad. And he had "the voice" but movement and acting and accent issues this time last year too.
