We have our final decision, and that is that. Even if you do think that either Sam or Jessie were robbed and would prefer to see them as Nancy. It isn't going to happen now.

Jodie won fare in square, she is a nice percon and must be overjoyed that she gets to play Nancy.
I personaly don't think she fits as Nancy, but I will still go and see it. She will get into character I'm sure.
She has a very good vioce and is also a good actress.
And I hope she gets the support she needs throughout. It would be a travesty if CM didn't support her after all the work she's put in.

I've already given my support to Jodie and said if Jessie didn't win that's who I'd prefer. It hasn't seemed to be acknowledged though, apparently we are all still so bitter and gutted because our favourite didn't win

I haven't unleashed any anger, I love Jessie, she is just sensational, but I do wish Jodie all the luck in the word because she does deserve it, she has a great voice and she will make a great Nancy.

Well, it's like - it seems like a really nice thread and people like myself (and Caspy) like to take things at face value.

But then you use it as an excuse to say again that you don't think the correct decision was made.

Then you say that you have already 'unleased (unleashed?) your anger'. Now the word 'anger' to me is not a very pleasant one. Maybe the word 'disappointment' would have been more appropriate.

But it was actually Kates89 I was mostly referring to - she said that her support of Jodie hadn't been acknowledged - by whom? Jodie herself? Or, as I took it to mean, Jodie fans.
And that Jodie fans see Jessie fans as bitter and gutted. I myself (a confirmed Jodie fan) have never stopped to making such comments and I apologise If we haven't appreciated people who saw Jodie as second best.

Well it's the things like 'get real', 'get over it', 'she was never ready for it anyway' which highlight my point, and naturally imply that we are bitter about the result. It almost feels like because we've been in the 'other camp' it's expected that we're unable of congratulating a duly winner. Of course we are disappointed that our fave didn't win and I'm sure all you Jodie fans would feel the same if the boot was on the other foot so it were.
I've said many a time that Jodie is a fab lady and have stuck up for her when others have been rude about her size so I don't really like being labeled as a bitter, unaccepting of the result Jessie fan.

I was a Sam fan but was never, for one minute, angry that she didn't win. Upset yes, but angry - no, I just don't see the point! Jodie is absolutely fantastic, just like the other 12 girls - she deserved it as much as any one of the other Nancys. I really am pleased for Jodie, best of luck to her, I'm sure she'll do the part justice.

No it isn't. But why should I now say that Jodie should have won all along. I'm happy for her though and I wasn't being sarcastic at all. If Jessie had won wouldn't you all congratualate her. I hope most of you would.
The thread was suppossed to be for Jessie and Sam supporters to allow them to let go. Because many are still upset slightly about their favourite not winning.

Good luck to Jodie for a successful West End run and good luck to all whose faith in supporting her was repaid.

As a Jodie supporter I actually didn't read this post as another dig at Jodie, especially as the OP intends to go and see the show with Jodie as Nancy.

Maybe I read it differently as not having been able to post on here this weekend, I'm perhaps a bit less sensitive to all the negativity. I've tried to catch up on all the threads and I'm wondering if feelings are still running a bit high on both sides after all the excitement of the final?

To get this thread back on a positive note, thanks for starting it and I hope lots of Sam and Jessie fans post now!

For what it is worth, I loved Jessie on Saturday night and thought she was great hugging Jodie when the winner was announced and still managing to to stand and clap Jodie's final ALAHNM performance. Her exit video shows how professional and mature she is at a time when she must be hurting inside.

Jodie and Jessie delivered a fantastic final - my favourite by miles over Maria and Joseph - and if Jessie had won I would have thought her a deserving winner.

Thankyou It wasn't a dig at Jodie at all. I always liked her. I knew she would make the finals.
But I found myself a bit upset. That may sound pathetic, but Jessie was my fave from the start and I wanted her to win.
But in saying that I'm not bitter. I don't know any of them and although I have said before that I couldn't bare it if Jodie won, mainly because of her gloating fans, I feel that she will make a good Nancy.
But I still think she should be a comedian at some point, I couldn't stop laughing at her sock puppet show or the Ashley impersonation. If she gets her own show I'll be there.

Of course we would have been disappointed had Jodie lost. By the end of the final I think many of us were surprised that she DID win - not because she wasn't good enough - but because of the comments of certain people on the show.

I have said on many, many threads how great I thought Jessie was - she pulled it out of the bag - had she won I would have thought her a worthy winner.

I'm pleased Jodie won - but I like to think I'm not malicious and gloating.

That comment doesn't deserve a reply -- particularly when I can't think of one...
