Can you remember where you've seen such reports?

That's the one thing I've not been able to find out about since I became hooked after S04E04. All I have seen is that none of the winners stayed with him long.

I can't remember exactly. I recall that whilst series 2 was being aired there was something in the press at the time about Tim being in charge of the launch of something or other for Sir Alan and not really having done much else during the past year.

Perhaps they're have to sign non-disclosure agreements.

It may explain one of the reasons why people feel the candidates are getting worse.

A lot of the better ones have probably twigged that the job is a bit of a con and left the field to those who, although wanting said job, have an eye open for the benefits () of TV exposure.

Ah the penny seems to have dropped.

This programme is mainly for entertainment so people are not necessarily that bothered about what happens afterwards.

It's interesting that from all the reams and reams of material that I've seen about The Apprentice this is a subject that gets virtually no exposure.

People just don't seem interested.

It's not something that I gave a great deal of though to until it became clear that AS himself doesn't seem to have a clue what he wants to do with these people.

Suspension of disbelief is a wonderful thing. Otherwise all we'd be watching would be earnest documentaries.

Depends what I wanted them to do. Running the office and managing, then Lucinda without a doubt, selling then either Claire or Lee, probably waivering towards Claire.

Alex is far too much like someone I used to work with, both looks and personality wise, so I just couldn't work with him, Helene just hasn't demonstrated any skills that I'd find particularly useful in my workplace.

He is not looking for a true apprentice. It's just good TV.”

Whilst I agree he may not be looking for a true apprentice, I would also suggest that (using past series as comparison) its not, "Just good TV". Perhaps I may be niave, but previous series have had at least an air of cut-throat business competitiveness, wheras this one smacks of appeal to the masses for ratings alone.

Who would I employ? That's easy, none of them. Thankfully I have no need for the self-important, self-obsessed or actors!

OK, I'll head off back to the book forum now
