If you can get thru on the phone its free (or £19.99 if you order on-line)

As far as I can see there are no catches and you even get £10 free airtime for the first 3 months.

Hmmm....

It seems to want bank details for a pay-as-you-go deal. What's up with that?

Its a Payg phone on a 12 month contract with £0.00 per month for line rental.

If you check out the "3 to go" tarrif it gives you some info.

Or go to "3"'s website ...http://three.co.uk/explore/howmuch/detail.omp

You pay for calls in the same way as a contract (or landline/cable phone) but you don't pay line rental.

So basically you pay for the calls you make and nothing else (except it seems, for, itemised billing - which probably is't such a bad thing!).

Obviously where this differs from your usual PAYG phones is that normally you pay up front and run down the credit. On 3toGo you get billed every month and can't run down the credit (well you probably an but'll be an awful lot to go through).

No.

They use a different kind of card called a WIM I beleive. Only compatible with "3".

Personally I wouldn't get the E808. Too many problems with it....... apart from the HUGE size of it. The E606 is even worse.

Over the next couple of months they'll be quite a few more handsets coming available and even more once the other networks come online with their 3g services.

The Z1010 may be available on 3 but according to a in-the-know m8 of mine there was a dissagreement between SonyEricsson and 3 about incorporating a button on the handset just for the 3 network. Guessing it'll be some kind of direct access button thingy to 3's services doo-dah's.

http://www.dith.cwc.net/egfx/largez1010.jpg

Then there's the oh-so-FAB new Samsung......... the Z100. Samsungs first 3g handset. Full videophone, MMS, camcorder, fodue set and cuddly toy !

http://www.directmobilephones.com/samsung_z700main.htm

They called it a Z700 but it's a typo.

There's quite a few videophones coming veeeery soon so I'd hang fire for a month or so....

Don't come to three!!! I am on it and regret it! It's a good price and the calls are free, but the rest sucks! There's not internet access as promised, the connection drops all the time and customer service is either non-existant or just reading from a script without a clue!

If you really DO have to come to three, then go to here from your free phone, but don't say I didn't warn ya!

These people are doing NEC 808's for free - with an extra NEC 808 on 3togo for free, and an 80 quid DVD for free too.... (Thats on Videotalk 750).

It says they're out of stock ATM, but they have got some in now - I ordered mine on Monday, and stock came in today as mine was despatched today (Wednesday).

I've ordered every mobile I've had over the past 4 years from these people - never paid for a single phone, always got great customer service (even when the networks have been pains, they've stepped in and helped out). Deffo recommend as a satisfied customer.

I have seen this mentioned on a few 3g forums so far and not much luck. I think that some post was looking further in to this here though. Take a look and search the forum area.
