i was wondering why, when watching the show, i didn't see some of the bits from maria school that are on the official site.

maybe there will be more on youtube when the live shows start this Sunday, although i wish you guys could see the parts from the showcase at the London Palladium.

who are you liking from what you have seen in the bios?

I like quite a few of them - Janna looks the most experienced, but I like Marisa too!

So far, Janna looks like the best one. She has that quirkiness that I like Maria to have, and her acting was excellent.

i picked her immediately as well. from her first note on Sunday night. lol

Just started to watch HDYSAPLM and it appears we've gone straight to Maria School. Am I missing an episode? Or do we not see the initial auditions?

Observations so far: the talent seems more impressive in Canada than the UK.

My downloads have finished, woop woop! I'll watch in the morning, it's almost 2am...

I couldn't wait!

I prefer Graham Norton to Gavin Crawford. Hopefully, he'll grow on me!

Janna's a great actress but a little scary. She's was "born to play Maria" and no one get in her way or ELSE!

So glad to be back in the thick of it!

I do remember seeing just a few little snippets of auditions but very quick and JB wasn't there in those rounds. it was Mr. Lee, ALW, and the vocal coach.

but it was nothing like the UK one. the whole process of school and showcase to final 10 is a total 1.5 hours with commercials. quite short.

the US YTOTIW took about 6 episodes or so before the live shows, the live shows will be strarting this Sunday for this one.

the girls are pretty talented, yes. you may be surprised at one or two that don't make it, i was. - my pick is Janna and i like a couple others.

woopsy! my fault. she is arrogant and funny, there are another two. hard when there is such a selection. you will notice how JB already slated ALW with one of his faves going and his comment on what ALW thinks of what Maria should be... also, I agree when David Lee said there are definately more than 20 potential Marias in the top 50.

Have now watched the first two episodes. Live show begins on Sunday.

What I'm loving is Canadian TV's transparency. When the judges discuss the Marias, when selecting who to cut and put through, we actually get to see who they are talking about. This is fantastic and adds another enjoyable layer for the viewer. There's no mystery as to who doesn't impress or who's top of the class. Far from diminishing the tension this actually adds to the whole experience. It will be interesting to see how the judges opinions change through the live shows.

sure, but they still do the annoying shoulder tap after they know full well who is being cut and pretend to listen. that bugs me. bring on Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!

At what point can we just say what we think without using spoilers?
