Alanis Morissette Question....
Her new album has a track called Versions of Violence. The music during the chorus is VERY familiar. Anyone else know what it sounds like because i know i have heard it before!

It is bugging me too... I know i've heard it before. It'll probably come to me tonight at about 4 in the morning... is the new album worth getting then?! I wasn't too impressed with the last two...

It's brilliant. I would say it's the best one since Jagged Little Pill definatly.
Have you heard Versions of Violence then? Can't think at all what it sounds like! I thought it was a Madonna one, or something around the late eighties era?? Citizen of the Planet is also an amazing song. The album is a great mix of dark, rock, ballads, and indie. Love it, must have listened to it 6 times so far! |

On that recommendation i'll probably get it tomorrow... I have heard the song and as soon as I did I knew it sounded like another one i've heard... it's really bugging me though as to which one it is... definitely not Madonna... for some reason a Eurovision song is coming to mind

Grrr whatever was it? Anyone else know?
Andy, definatly buy it, however, dont waste your money on the 2cd version, the 5 bonus songs on cd2 are dreadful. just buy the 1 cd and you'll be very happy. |

"It's a Bitch to Grow Up", "The Guy Who Leaves", "Madness" and "Orchid" are fantastic and all on the bonus disc!! Unlike most people on here I actually really dislike "Versions of Violence"...different folks different strokes I guess! The CD2 has more of her mellow relaxing stuff...depends which side of Alanis you prefer I guess. |

I reckon it's the best since Supposed Former... (which, incidentally, is her BEST album without a doubt). Citizen of the Planet is a little like a couple off that album.
I think I know what people think 'Versions of Violence' sounds like. Well, partly it's Evanescence, but the chorus is like Tatu's 'All The Things She Said'. |
