As they normaly put the show in their winter being on the same time as our BB and the US BB. Could they have a summer BB maybe being shown November-February or maybe September-December or January - April for Aussie TV scedules to fit in.

It already looks hot for winter in Queensland already that I have seen. I don't know how the summer would go? Not really sure on what the weather in Australia is sure in the winter. I've heard that it gets cold south of the country.

Yeah it's freezing right now in Canberra It's nice an warm on the Gold Coast though (where it's filmed).

I always thought it should take a break for a year then come back in the summer but moved to Sydney. The opportunity for all new people to attend evictions, shows etc. would I think revive interest in the show.

The only problem is that this would likely be during non-ratings period. Most likely it would need to be started in late January or February at the earliest.

Jan-Feb. would interfere with The Biggest Loser though.

I don't think moving the location would revive interest. Who cares about the anonymous people in the audience, who are only there to cheer anyway?

The Biggest Loser could be moved to the usual Big Brother slot.

I'm suggesting it would revive interest because it would give an opportunity for a whole new raft of people to be able to go to evictions and experience that aspect of it. Then these people that have gone to the shows can talk to their friends about it etc. potentially increasing interest in the show. During the off season they could offer tours of the house. New South Wales is possibly the biggest TV market and I'm surprised they haven't tried to take advantage of it yet.

I was never suggesting it would revive interest because the people in the audience when you watch it on tv changed.

If The Biggest Loser is working well for Ten where it is, and BB isn't, swapping them could end up hurting both shows.

I don't see how it would hurt The Biggest Loser. It's not live in any way.

Audience figures for the show were down this year as well I think. It has another 2 seasons in it I think.

Changing the night, time or time of year when a show is broadcast more often than not leads to lower viewing figures.

For The Biggest Loser it's also probably done when it is to fit in with Bob and Jillian's committments to the American version, which runs two series a year during autumn and winter (northern hemisphere).

Bob and Jillian are not needed for the Australian Biggest Loser any more. Ditching them would seriously not effect the show.

I also don't really agree with your first sentence but we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Summer here is December, January, February. December, January is the non rating period here as its Christmas. BB here is in autumn/winter due to that is the prime rating period and it doesn't really get that cold on the gold Coast in Queensland. The Biggest Loser starts in February at the start of the ratings period and finishes when BB starts.

What about the show swapping slots with Australian Idol as they often start after BB?

It'd be too cold for the people to go around with their tops off

Don't really care if you agree or not. History is loaded with examples of broadcasters mucking about with a show's time slot and setting off a big decline in viewing.

In Australia December, January, February are our summer and December, January is our non rating period because its christmas and school holidays all of January.

February through to September are our biggest rating period and earn the networks the most money. The Aussie Biggest Loser starts February with channel TEN and is very popular and rates very well. BB starts when that finishes. On the Gold Coast it is still quite warm and it can get cold during the night but not enough to deprive all the male hunks to walk around topless and the girls wearing Bikinis during the day. Although this year it has been colder then previous years.

No it hasn't. I live very near the Coast and it's no different this year than any other year really. The house is heated apparantly so that they can wander around half naked!

Nobbi must have been well cold though during the night in the Kombi!
