VERY interesting to have a woman on the panel

Karen is very good, proving you don't have to be an ass.

Damn Sralan just said what I was in the middle of posting!

Quite right.

I have a lot of respect for Karren Brady.

I thought she offered a different insight into the candidates

Well done Karen

You mean the one who butchered Lucinda and made no reference to anything remotely relevant to Lucinda's abilities? NEEDS A SLAP.

I was glad when Karren Brady put him in his place.

I'm not a huge Lucinda fan, but his assessment of her was irrelevant, dismissive (although it could have been edited for all I know) and incredibly unprofessional.

Mind you, I suppose many aspects of TA are unprofessional - especially the interview process! Being an entertainment show and all...

Karen Brady demonstrated she was an air head just like Lucinda and more interested in emotions, feelings and dress sense than anything of any relevance. The fat bearded bloke was absolutely right in his comments about Lucinda and he should have put Brady over his knee and given her a bloody good spanking for her airy-fairy comments.

and a darn sight more rational, sane, intelligent and observant than Siralan's little coterie of male brown nosers.

That thug with the beard doing the interviewing really is an arse. Arrogant idiot.

Sir Alan, shouldn't you be in bed?

Anyhow, I'd like to meet the business man who thinks he could spank Karren Brady! She'd destroy him.

His name is Paul, he is a complete ass and I think Sir Alan should fire him. He's a self-confessed liar (even proud of it), is quite clearly a narrow minded reactionary troglodyte and belongs in a museum.

Whatever is Sir Alan thinking?!

That's assuming that he is thinking and not just doddering in his old age...

He was excellent; perceptive, concise and intelligent.

I didnt think she was that bad, she seemed to offer some good opinions but i did think she got caught up in the emotional stories far too quickly for my liking and some of her perceptions were then influenced by that. Other than that its rather refreshing to have a woman on the panel...sometimes Margaret just reminds me of a very strict headmistress so not quite the same thing!

She's very nice.

But I found her *too* nice when relaying her opinions to Alan. This isn't 'strictly come dancing' where feelings must be spared just to keep a cheap applause from the audience, this was serious. And she gushed over Alex when she should have commented that he was playing the age card.

No problem her being there though.

Your insistance on being a wind-up merchant was funny for about 2 minutes but has been unbelieveably boring ever since.

I liked her. Maybe she was a bit too nice but she was certainly fair. MUCH better than the other 3 interviewers, like a breath of fresh air.

I like Karen Brady, but on this occasion I don't think she came across atall well; she seemed to be more interested in how candidates looked or dressed. Indeed, she seemed to be shallow and sexist - all she had to say about Alex was how good looking and charming he is, and with the female candidates subscribing to the view that every woman has it hard because they're competing in such a male dominated world etc - she seemed to buy into this totally without any questioning, which was ashame I thought.

I think it is good to have a female perspective however, it's just ashame that this particular perspective was interested only in how someone looks and 'girl power'.

Was a very interesting programme though, and I thought that Lucinda was treated shamefelly in the boardroom by Alex - all she said was that she was thinking that maybe the role wasn't right by her, which was interpreted by Alex as 'I don't want the job'. But she performed terribly in the interviews - only Karen stuck up for her, and seemed to do so because Lucinda is a female, and she resented the male interviewers comments about her only being good for decorating the office etc
