I think Lucinda wasn't right for the role of the apprentice, and as my favourite i was glad she was fired tonight (however I'd rather she'd realised she wasn't right and told SAS where to stick his job).

I don't know what Alex was looking so smug about. Lucinda wasn't right for the job, she was too good for it. She earns more than than what was being offered. Not only was she more successful in life (tho she does have a few years on the poor little 24 year old) she was also MUCH more successful in the show. The only thing she didn't manage to do was convince SAS she was right for an apprentice, and quite frankly she's better than an apprentice.

It wouldn't surprise me if she was going to but was talked out of it by the production team for the sake of the show as it would have made a pretty pointless interview stage (only one was fired) even more pointless and consequenceless.

Her face when she was about to be and was fired was not exactly full of emotion/dissapointment!

Have to say that she's not really zany.
She lives on my street, I've only spoken to her once or twice but she seems like a very down to earth person - something the show didn't get a chance to portray.

I think this year more than ever, a hell of a lot of people on here are watching the show more like BB than they would care to admit.

When it comes to the job, Alex will make SAS Money, to work without a salary shows confidence in himself. He grassed on Lucinda, as anyone serious about the job would/should have. If anything I think SAS will see Alex as preferential over the others since Helene said they all heard it, but it was Alex who looked out for himself in getting the job and told SAS what was said.

Its a reality show yes, but firstly its a difficult job interview, and anyone who thinks that for a high paying job they wouldn't tell the interviewer something that another candidate said against the job is only lying to themselves.

Lucinda was a good project manager, but as she has shown in every other task, if she isn't the one in charge, then she will not contribute. She will be difficult and obviously in some cases it was understandable, such as Helene making her do the IT stuff. Other times, like last week in the car task, she was being difficult for the sake of it, she never even bothered to learn the names of the car because she obviously had a BR strategy that if it went wrong, blame Lee and Alex for "Ganging up" on her, basically translated (Into Alex' Fluent english lol) as not doing exactly what she wanted.

Just remember what an difficult, uncooperative, surly so and so Alex was when Simon was team leader.

I'm sure she's a lovely person and would be a great person to know - but I certainly wouldn't give her a job. She'd drive me and the rest of the team nuts.

I wouldn't hire a lot of my friends - and I work really well with others who I have no interest in being friends with. They are totally different relationships.

She was just in the wrong environment for her personality, strengths and characteristics. I am sure she realised this during the interview process.
and I also think she had a problem with not knowing what the job actually was... didn't Simon's job last year just turn out to be a glorified estate agent?

I thought it was right that Lucinda went but did anyone else think that Alex was out of order at that stage to turn on her in the boardroom and tell tales?
No. If only Lucinda had had half as much forthrightness and the others as much b@ll$.

Or maybe it was just that Simon was useless.

I doubt that very much. The word was that one candidate was going to walk out "Katie-style" because they didn't really want the job. The producers would have been gutted not to have that sort of footage again instead of someone begging against the inevitable.

By the way, the word is inconsequential

Well yes a lot of us on here have said that the show is depressingly turning a lot of us off by sinking to BB levels for the sake of attracting the sort of viewer that likes that sort of thing - and it's working... here you are!

And that gave Alex the right to behave like he did?
