I am 22 - 24 and I am trying to discover the answer to the question why? My life has no direction and I currently spend most of my days watching mind numbing television and writing on digital spy.
Oh what joy!

During the ages of 22-24 I developed a habit of saying "no-one makes a bladdy fool out of me" a lot. Have grown out of it now though

When I was 24... I was definitely not a psychic or a time traveller, as I have no idea.

You can only do these things if you have the money, resources & opportunities. Not everyone has access to these things!
I didn't care for money and relied upon the job to satisfy that. Eventually I learnt the languages around there and I used my degree to get other work and with the working hours being so little, I had a lot of free time. Just go for it. |

Working in a clothing factory and bringing up a kid single handed. I moved from there to having my name on 3 patents, and a successful job in a major perfume manufacturer as well as becoming a chartered something or other (sorry, I'm trying to stay anonymous here! lol). So what?

good for you -
![]() ![]() The best thing about my life though is that it shows that it's possible to start out as a numpty and still make something good of yourself. ![]() I can bang on about my hard life, but the fact is I'm proud of it. Helene played her hand all wrong. If I'd have been her I would have said "but I've learnt a lot from this and it's okay because it's my life and it's made me the strong and committed person I am today!" I might be lying, but who would know? ![]() Lee to win. |

Well thanks, although it's not as glam as it sounds - the patents all belong to the company I worked for and I got made redundant a few years ago. I facied a change and now I have a very low paid job in the travel industry - but I remain an optimist and still believe in myself

At 22 I finished up my first degree and took a break, met my fella and helped him set up and run his company (of which I am company secretary). Just before I turned 23 I decided to go back to uni and took a postgrad diploma. I intended to go straight from that into an MSc just before I turned 25, but fate intervened and I got knocked up instead. I'm 26 now, on my MSc course and my son will be 1 in 3 weeks exactly.
I never did the wild clubbing/travelling and haven't ever worked full time, but that's cos I had ME from when I was a teenager to when I was 24. But although I'm a bit behind my peers in academic timings I don't think I've done too badly for myself.

SAS and the interviewers are older and I don't think they realise how hard it is to have 'sucess' as such an early age
at 22 you have either left school at 16/18 and are struggling in a poorly paid job..and may have gone up a level or two in the hierarchy due to hard work. either that or you've been to uni, and are struggling to find a job that isn't the previously mentioned crap pay one you could have got 3years earlier, or one that doesn't need several years experience (which you can't have had as you've been to uni!) very few have become very successful by this age these days IMO |
