I was working, living in a flat with a girlfriend and going out to nightclubs picking up unsuitable blokes. Ahhh the 80s.

24 - I was running an office where I worked, and spending most nights down clubbing, going to gigs and having my heart broken time and time again by utterly beautiful man *happy days*

Love this - it will be my official tune for the day!

When I was 24 I was kicked out of the A Team for spiking one of the team members milk.

I was wearing power shoulders by day and damging my liver by night (and sometimes even at lunchtime - it was the 80s, we used to do that then - aah, the good old days!)

Oh yes, drunken lunchtimes in the pub, oh for the days when we sometimes didn't bother going back to the office

Bolly and nouvelle cuisine, and mobiles the size of bricks - would have been running my own football club, but....I just couldn't get out of the pub!

I was also working hard, but not playing as hard as I should have done. I'm now having my second set of twenties..20 years later, but with nearly teenage children.....its harder to achieve, but the difficulties add to the enjoyment.

I don't envy the candidates, nor the people who made their first million by the time they were twenty-two. It doesn't leave a lot of time or energy to smell the roses, even if you can afford them.
