I didn't see the interview. Was it flippant? I took the report that she'd said it at face value as I had no reason to think the poster was being misleading.

I'm not sure I've made assumptions. She's the one who chose the words she used in the taxi. I'm agreeing with Nick that she is very shrewd and, if she'd planned it - to use the show as a kick start to a media career, she couldn't have done it better. That she was capable of doing so is supported by her career achievements to date. What is not supported by her career achievements to date is the helpless "can't do technology" "can't sell" "boo hoo" person that we saw on screen when she wasn't in charge.
