Lee and Claire on same team for final = They will win task

Looks to me like the teams for the final have been set up for a Claire and Lee win. Alex and Helene are clearly the B Team and have been grouped that way to avoid the possibility of either Lee or Claire being on the losing team, and thus accidentally losing one of the front-runner candidates!

That's exactly what i thought. Whoever was grouped with Claire would be in final 2.

Blatant.

It seems unfair that one bad egg could drag someone else down.

Silly final format. Why do they have to tweak a winning formula.

And bringing back useless excised candidates is always stupid (excpet Raef)

I wonder why SAS didn't just fire Helene & Alex tonight then & put them out of their misery?

I can't see the merit in being one of 4 finalists there is far more kudos in being one of the final 2

But SAS is taking a risk - albiet a small one . What if the B team win??

It might (and probably will be) a task where S'ralan decided who wins. Like the tissues one.

Depends who does the presentation.

The preview showed Lee cracking up a bit though.

I'm pretty sure SA has already chosen his favourite. And it doesn't really matter how the final task goes as he's the only person who will be choosing the winning team and eventually his apprentice.

So tell me - what's the point of the 4 finalists?!!

I've got 2 theories, just not sure which is right:

a) Sir Alan has put his 1st choice in 1 team and his 2nd choice in the other to make sure that he gets either his 1st or 2nd choice candidate

b) It is fixed for Claire and Lee to win - Sir Alan will decide what measure decides who wins and it will be whatever measure is necessary for Claire and Lee to succeed.

I'd go for B!

It looks like a presentation-style task where it's purely down to Sir Alan's opinion which team does best.

I'll be surprised if Claire and Lee don't win. In fact, I'll be totally amazed if they don't.

But wasn't claire in spain or somewhere like that where there were loads of british holiday makers telling them that they had to cut alot of scenes out, so surely she's not a contender..

That's what I thought. When he announced the teams, I thought OMG he must like Alex (!) as he needs a potential apprentice in each one in case they win and he hates Helene.

However, if he decides which team wins it'll be Claire and Lee (who I assumed would be the final two anyway).

Not sure what will happen in the A Team is obviously worse though (unlikely I know)...

I dont see the point in this Final 4, seems to flaw the concept of the final for me, I think Claire is by far the best under pressure and this task looks to to be one she will excel at.

Lee to win though.

I dont think its fair that one persons ability should affect anothers chances of winning.
Each should be judged on their own merits instead of being judged as a pair. Its a crazy set up for the final.

It does look now as if the winner will either be Lee or Claire.

Alex and Helene SUCK and this time they have no coattails to ride on. They will fail miserably at this task, no doubt about it.
