I was only watching for Lucinda...

That's perhaps a bit of an exaggeration, because I love The Apprentice, but I do feel that she was one of those candidates who transcended the format of the series and became fascinating viewing in her own right. Only Ruth Badger and Katie Hopkins come close, for entirely different reasons. I can't look forward to the final any more, it feels like an afterthought now.

'The Apprentice' will never be the same again.

The best examples on the show don't make it on to win and Sir Alan picks the most desperate so he can push them around.

I've quite liked the previous winners.

But Sir Alan has completely lost his marbles this time round.

If there is nobody here who wants one of the finalists to win I can only think the most sensible reason it has turned out this is, the producers lost control of the candidates as Lucinda put it because gangs were formed and backbiting occurred.

I dunno, I think these finalists are all capable in his eyes. He's not choosing the nicest person left, or the most unfairly victimised contestant, he wants someone to last in his workplace. I think a lot of viewers forget that when watching this show, ultimately all he wants is a worker. I think he thought Lucinda would've been hard work to deal with, I wasn't surprised she went.

I think he was showing signs of loosing it last year when he almost put the hideous Hopkins into the final.

Donald Trump he ain't - by the way what's happened to the American Apprentice there hasn't been a new season for ages?

No I'm very aware of that, but I don't see any of the remainding candidates as more capable than a woman who was earning 100K a year, who had the best track record where the tasks were concerned and was praised (albeit grudgingly) by her peers when she was a team leader.

Can you imagine? And Kristina would have lost out!

Although in defence of Katie, this year's lot make her look like a pussy cat.

I'm quite baffled by this series. I was sure that the reason the BBC purposefully showed us the clips of the bullying and backstabbing was so that we could all rejoice when good triumphed over evil and Raef or Lucinda won.

Instead we are lumbered with a bunch of rather odious individuals. The viewers feel cheated, let down even and quite indifferent towards the final.

They couldn't have got it more wrong.

The praise for Lucinda as team leader wasn't grudging at all. Her teammates were very quick to do so on both occasions, led by Lee on one occasion and Helene on the other.

My two cents..... Lucinda was probably the only one I "liked" (aside from Raef, perhaps), but I didn't think she was ever a good fit to be an "Apprentice", if you know what I mean?

I think she's very good at what she does, and she should probably be proud to carry on doing that.

Couldn't agree with this post more. Especially the 'triumph' bit.
