Yes, it's a conspiracy. Karren and Lucinda assassinated Kennedy, started the French Revolution and cover up UFO abductions with their womanly wiles. They walk among us and the only way you can identify them is by their sneaky and treacherous lack of any Y chromosomes.

Nope, for instance I was a huge fan of a really intelligent and gracious lady in Karen in series 2 I think who was sacked for being too nice and seemingly because she was too gracious.

Lucinda is more of a self-indulgent child than a lady, and I think her naive, baby-like, self-absorbed ways appeal to some people because they are baby like and make her appear vulnerable.

OMG - I think I have heard about them, aren't they part of the e-masculation movement - they poison the water with girl hormones so that all men get moobs and their willies shrink - sometimes they get most as tiny as their brains!

I'm surprised none of them hauled Helene up for referring to her teammates as "15 gobsh*tes" - if that's not "not a team player" then I don't know what is. Then SAS goes and fires Lucinda for "not being a team player" when she's consistently got the best out of her teams (ok, so she wavered a bit when she was led, but really, some of the other candidates leadership skills were so questionable I'm surprised they got any decent work out of their teams).

My Dad was until March a senior project manager for a global telecoms company, intensively trained in interviewing techniques (including NLP) and he always criticises the interviewers rather than the candidates at this stage because they just don't get the best out of them - they're looking for the worst bits. I know that it's all ramped up and pantoesque for TV, but I doubt they're that far removed from their usual interviewing personas.

I wouldn't want to work for a company if I was interviewed even half as harshly as that - I know it's business, but what is the point of undermining interviewees from the get go? It's certainly not conducive to getting the best out of anyone.

As someone else has said, these interviews have several purposes, to put the candidates under pressure, to determine their skill set and capabilities and of course to make good telly. That means they will be different to the run of the mill interviews and of course the mundane stuff is edited out.

Where do the 'gobshite' posts come from then?!

Claude is evil...
Absolutely evil - and I believe pretty much all of them - apart from Karren Brady - was civil to Lucinda...

Lucinda was such a worthy candidate, and I have no interest in watching it next week, 'cos with the exception of Lee (maybe), they are all snakes.

Especially Alex

Give him a break. With a name like Claude anybody would be uptight most of the time.

The interviewers exposed all the candidates for the useless bunch they are. CV's padded with waffle and lies. Constant prattle about how good they will be, but offering nothing of substance to the interviewers when pressed.

Lucinda was this seasons Katy Hopkins. It appears all she was after was TV exposure. And didn't she look relieved when she was fired.

I honestly think Sir Alan was considering firing the lot of them last night ! I wouldn't have blamed him either.

Apprantly, Claude phoned SAS to apologise about his treatment towards Lucinda during the interview process. He now says Lucinda was the best of all the candidates he interviewed.

I didn't like him until I heard that. I'm glad he realised he treated Lucinda badly.

aaaah yes, it was there between Helene and Brady, AND Claire and Brady aswell. I'm positive all of them wasted 3 hours of their lives talking about berets and eyeliner.

i was suprised at how well Lucinda kept it together. She kept cool and calm under pressure.

all those interviewers need to go on a course.

Apart from Karen. She's lovely and I think she really admired Lucinda.

None of the interviewers gave Lucinda a harder time than she deserved.

They all picked up on what the evidence had shown, that she was OK as a leader but not only bad but insiduous and pernicious as a team member.

What?

The narrator clearly stated that Karen was there to probe them as people - on their personalities. She wasn't there to challenge them on their business acumen, she was just judging them as people. She was pleasant to all of the candidates and I'm sure they would all say that Karen was the best interviewer.

To say that Karen, a woman who works in extremely masculine environments (porn magazines and a football club) is similar to Lucinda is absurd. Do your research about Karen Brady and you'll realise they're nothing alike.

You go girl, I don't think she was right for the job and was surprised (pleasantly) that she got as far as she did but it was worth it for that moment ”

No....he was bemused at the fact that she completely missed his point. He didn't want her to listen to him. He wanted her to understand that she wasn't listening more generally.

That's as maybe, but at least she wasn't nasty (which was Ms. Hopkins' biggest crime - not being a fame-seeker, which is something they basically all are)

I thought the short stubbly one that bragged about lying on his CV (I thought his name was Paul, but maybe it was Claude) was absolutely vile, a bully and a sexist, aginst jerk - so if that's the sort of person that Sir Alan wants to trust then it just shows the sort of person that Sir Alan is - and likewise the sort of person this present government chooses to give honours to and importaht government positions to.
