It is definitely the worst final four yet...and that included the American series as well as the UK one.

Very disappointing.

yes indeed, what an utterly pathetic last 4.

Alex - no redeeming features whatsoever.

Lee - good for a beer and a chat about football but how has he got this far?

Helene - could be OK but let herself down with her bullying and backstabbing.

Claire - probably the best of a very bad bunch, but still a self-praising bullshitter who is hard to like.

And as for all four of them in the final...

I'd also add

Lee - Illiterate chancer
Alex - Empty vessel
Helene - Self pitying bully with no talent especially poetry ( I've put my toe in .......and now I want to dive in the ocean!)
Claire - Unable to listen to someone else

Are these people the best four out of twelve thousand?

Something has gone badly wrong with the series this year as the producers seem to have concentrated more on the personalities of the candidates rather than their abilities. As they're not there to be liked I wouldn't have a problem with them being dislikeable characters. Where I struggle is with their supposed talent, I've not seen anything in any of this lot that I admire. In previous finals I may not have liked the finalists but, I could understand why they were there.

An absolutely dreadful bunch of individuals.

Helene - well what can I say. Could not beleive it when she said in her interview about having worked with a bunch of gobshites! Unbelievable. She should take a long hard look at herself. A very nasty bullying character.

Claire - I really hope she does not win. She walks around with such a smug look on her face. So full of her own importance. This girl will not learn at all. I feel that she is just playing along at the moment with AS because of her telling off a few weeks . A leopard never changes its spots

Alex - what a total waste of space. For me he has definetely flown under the radar. What a two faced character last night with Lucinda in the boardroom. Has not contributed much at all.

Lee - Well obviously has problems with his background and education and appears to be embarrased about his Dad being a milkman. He should never forget his roots and where he came from. A chancer in my opinion.

I would hate to have to work with any of them!

This is an "Amstrad Emailer" of a final four.

Series 4 has become Sir Alan's nadir.

I'm disappointed, too.

Alex - boring little weasel who uses his youth as an excuse for everything

Helene - miserable cow who seems to think she's the only one who had it tough as a child. Sorry, but I know many people (myself included) who would have considered her upbringing hugely preferable to their own

Claire - smug, self-satisfied steam-roller
(though probably the best of the four in terms of ability)

Lee - has good points, but there are things that disturb me like the lying, bulling Sara etc

Lucinda or Raef to win!

Surely it's the FIRST final four 'ever' (sic).

AWFUL final 4 and I think it will really effect the callibre of candidate that applies for the show next year.

Nobody with any serious business acumen would surely apply to go on the show after this years disaster. Some horrible decisions have been made and it seems all about controversy rather than recruiting someone with sound business skills. The four left would struggle to find employment in my opinion, they seem like a dim bunch to me, and highly untrustworthy and unlikable.

There is no way these should be the 4 left, and I think Sir Alan knows it

The final two should have been Simon and Raef.In the final 5 with them should have been Lee Alex Lucinda and Sara

Every time I hear the famous quote "I don't like liars. I don't like cheats. I don't like bullshitters. I don't like schmoozers and I don't like arse-lickers" I wonder why he's managed to spend an entire series promoting them.

People I speak to suggest that it's because it's a TV show and his decisions are based on entertainment rather than business sense, but he's also managed to pick the most turgid and least watchable of the bunch.

Mystifying.

Possibly this is why he never used this quote this year.
Actually I missed hearing him saying it this time round.
Always made me laugh.

Makes me nostalgic for the calibre of the first UK series' candidates.

Yes I agree with you. First series was by far the best set of candidates and will always be I am afraid.

It is the same with Big Brother the first housemates were also the best.

It is because I think they all become too media savvy and are all just a bunch of celebrity wannabes.

This season has been poor. Problems haven't been dealt with until far too late and so it has resulted in a weak four candidates being left.

Agree totally, the worst 4 ever.

Lee was proved a liar, we already know he's an uncouth loud mouth.
Alex proved he was a snake in the grass, trying to drop Lucinda in it with Al.Very little positive input.
Helene = Zero
Claire is the best of a bad lot.

How Big Al could say they were a good bunch shows he is out of touch. We need a younger businessman to take over
next year. Al is yesterday's man.

I Think from the candidates this year, the best 4 have made the final.

It seems this year more than ever, and as much as most will hate to admit it, A lot of people are watching this season more like Big Brother than ever before, calling for the likes of Lucinda, Raef and Sara to be in the final because they liked them off-task.

Feeling sorry for someone because they get picked on a bit doesn't warrant a place in the final, Sara was incompetent and should have gone much earlier than she did, Lucinda would not work in a company unless she was in charge, Raef perhaps could have made the final but watching earlier episodes, although I did like him, SAS was right he did very little of merit.

Those in the final now are the best sellers, the most rounded and the most experienced Candidates and really from the starting candidates this year, do deserve to be there.

I can think of two or three candidates who were better than Alex and Helene.

Very poor batch - I wouldn't give any of them houseroom...

Alex - 2 things I dislike about him are his face (ba-doom-tsh!) He's just a self-pitying defensive toady - if I'd had a drink every time he said "24" last night I'd be in hospital this morning. His attack on Lucinda was completely unwarranted and showed him to be a vindictive little tyke with no integrity.

Claire - Badger-Lite, decent salesperson but awful personality, a mouthy bully with nothing good to say about anyone, just clever enough to realise she needed to stay quiet in the boardroom.

Lee - LIAR! That CV thing should have got him fired on the spot, but he'd already marked his card for me with his temper and when he bullied Sara for no reason, his illiteracy is just icing on the cake.

Helene - has "risen without trace" during the series. I don't mind her talking about her background as she hadn't mentioned it for the previous 10 weeks, and she was asked about it. I do mind her always saying "you can't survive in a corporation if you're not great at what you do" - actually, a corporation is a perfect place to muddle along without ever actually achieving anything, as I've observed firsthand many times. To be honest I've nothing against her (though her constant lack of couth in the interviews got on my nerves) but she's really done nothing in the series to justify her final 4 status.

Claire is the best of the bunch, she is gobby but has something more than the others can offer. Lee should really have gone since he lied, and couldn't even be bothered to spell check his CV!

Lucinda had a lucky escape i think, whoever wins i doubt will stick it out anyway.

Helene - Boring Dull and Monstrous Office Waste of Space
Claire - Large Chav like Office Loser who lies about her wage and has done nothing of import in this series
