I always get it wrong with this show but I've a feeling Alex is going to win next week. Heres why:
Alex is a young candidate who doesn't earn a great deal and is mouldable. Sir Alan referred to him as "not well rounded" last night which I think is a clue Alex will win by virtue of the fact Sir Alan wants someone he can mould.
Consider Claire. She's a great candidate, probably the best of the series, but does Sir Alan always pick the best candidate? Sometimes he doesn't. Look at Ruth Badger for proof of this.
Also consider that Claire had apparently applied for Big Brother etc and also ask yourself, does she really, really need this job? I'd say no she doesn't. She already earns close to £100k a year and suggested last night she doesn't feel she needs to change. That may have decided it for Sir Alan imho. If Claire lost this final I imagine she would be bouncing around smiling and would go onto something else. Shes that type of person.
While I love Claire to bits, I just get the bad feeling she just isn't the type of person Sir Alan wants to hire.. even if she is the best of the four. He wants someone he can build upon and turn into something far better.. Claire may already be too good for the job.
We'll see. I'm always wrong... and if Alex doesn't win, I'll be happy as it shows this show isn't as predictable as it looks.
