I don't know if anyone has ever thought about this but if you're a woman and you go on The Apprentice it's best to think like a man. Generally speaking, men tend to remove 'emotion' from problem-solving, women tend to retain 'emotion' when problem-solving. This represents one of the key differences between men and women.
The best example of a woman with an emotion-free approach to problem-solving was Ruth Badger. She was dispassionate, single-minded and hired by Sugar. Actually, Sugar hired her and Michelle Dewberry in the 2006 series, two hiring scenes were filmed but only one was shown - but that's for another thread!
Compare Badger with Lucinda. Lucinda can't remove emotion from the tasks - hence why people find it near impossible to work with her. Notice how emotion got the better of her with the greeting card task, with the car task - she needed Lee to help her. She's also cried the most - again, proof how her emotion got the better of her.
Claire is the Ruth Badger of this series. She's not quite as ruthlessly determined, there's a bit of softness peeking through from time to time, but she does remove any emotional baggage from the tasks. The Apprentice shows when a woman removes her natural emotional response from a task she can be a formidable candidate, superior to the male candidates. I suspect there is a good chance Claire will win this series of The Apprentice.
