Sir Alan's boardroom "receptionist", also returns. Frances is in fact played by Sam Moon, who works for producers TalkbackTHAMES.

Interesting observation, but your 4 years late on it !!
![]() You do realise also that numerous takes and re-takes are done, especially in the boardroom, to get things just right. anyone who does'nt realise this is sadly mistaken. |

One wonders why his real secretary can't do it.
Not the most demanding acting job in the world... |

I wonder how much she gets paid?
Do you think there could be a vacancy soon? I believe I have the appropriate skill set: "Sir Alan will see you now". "Certainly Sir Alan". "You can go through to the boardroom now". "Do one, Wotherspoon" |

I don't think the story of SAS calling all his receptionists "Francis" was ever true based on the fact in the first two series, the receptionist was referred to as "Jenny".

And I don't know why we have to pretence that events happen over 10 weeks (or whatever). Most people know the finalists usually work for suralan for some months before he chooses. Though God help his regular staff if those four have been in his offices for the last few months!!

Has Frances dyed her hair blonde this year? I'm pretty sure she had brown hair in the last series.
