Lucinda

I would like to say congrats on getting as far as you did in the show despite people attacking you and trying to drop you in it. You conducted yourself like a lady and you should be proud of yourself. You were a fine project manager who got the best out of your team so hats off to you - some of your co - apprentices could learn a thing or two from you.

You made my Wednesday night's and I'm going to miss you in the final but I do think they wouldn't have got you if you had worked for SAS. You can and will do so much better. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Toodles

But we know this was a gang mentality that extended throughout the series against her and as we saw up until last night and in the board room - so yes, of course it was bullying.
Nobody bullied her in the board room!

Alex, being the snake that he is, tried to use what she had said against her. That's how he operates.

The notion of gang mentality is nonsense.

Helene didn't like the fact that Lucinda wasn't after a permanant job. She told the others. They bitched about her. That is not bullying.

Throughout the whole series Lucinda has tried to play the victim. She has been obstructive. If she hasn't liked the tasks she has been given she has just been difficult.

He indirectly bullied her by making constant distasteful remakrs about Lucinda, or underminging remarks... Like when she was discussing her weaknesses with the Project Manager, he'd make a comment like 'Can I actually go and sell now'...
If it wasn't for his luck, he wouldn't have sold a thing...
And Helene has undermined lucinda throughout the whole show
Unbelievably biased post.

To accuse Alex of bullying Lucinda for asking Lee if he could leave to get on with selling the cars is an extraordinary line of logic that can only be caused by the most extreme obsessive defence of Lucinda or dislike of Alex. Alex didn't want to play a part in the decision of what Lee did with Lucinda, so why shouldn't ask to go?

I don't see any reason the above posts would scary anyone away from posting? Not everyone's going to like you or what you do in life. I'm positive that if Lucinda had payed as much attention as you think she will to those comments to everything else negative anyone has ever said to her, she'd never have got anything done

And, people who are 'inept' and 'immature' don't get 100k salaries.

And whilst I don't think there has been direct bullying, I think there has been a gang mentality, hideous management and serious underestimentation. If someone says 'I don't think I'll be any good at the technological stuff' on the photo task, don't put them on it and complain when it ****s up. And if someone says 'I don't know much about cars, can I not be on my own?", don't put them on their own. It's clear to me that any half deacent manager plays to their teams strengths - i.e. put Lee and Lucinda together on the Zonda, and Alex alone on the AM, or someone with a technical background in charge of technical aspects. It's not difficult.

I like Helene, but if by putting someone who's not good with computers in charge of the technical aspect wasn't sabotaging her task, I don't know what was. That way, when she lost it, she had someone to pin it on and say 'well if Lucinda had been better on the computer...' and pin it on someone else, even if they have already expressed their potential problems in the first meeting.
Lucinda was capable of so little it was impossible to find anything for her to except to pose in her beret. Here we have someone who can't even remember the name of a car despite half a day's research and being repeatedly corrected. Lucinda's only strength is the size of her wardrobe. Helene was stupid to put her in any sort of position of responsibility, but that still doesn't excuse Lucinda's general ineptness.

Don't forget that Lucinda spent the whole afternoon asking if people had heard of the Zonda and then calling it a Zona in the evening.

Hey Lucinda,

If you're reading this, I'd just like to say a big thank you for making Wednesday nights fun!

I love the way you were completely yourself and didn't change just cos of what other people might have thought of you and I also loved the way, during the advertising task, you said exactly what we were all thinking about Alex ().

Good luck with all your endeavours,
Ocsic.

Even if I don't like people like Alex, I'm prepared to give them credit where it is due, and I think it's unfair to say Lucinda isn't capable of much. You don't get on the winning team more times than anyone else through luck and being carried by others, especially when you're PM on two of those occasions (as far as I remember). Your refusal to give Lucinda any credit tells me that you have a childish attitude towards her, and thus I don't credit the rest of your post with much validity.

Anyway... these are messages/comments for Lucinda (if) she's posting her...
If she isposting her, I would like to thank her for making my wednesdays brilliant, and that she made 'The Apprentice' this year
I don't want to go off at a tangent as this is a thread for Lucinda, but I didn't interpret Alex asking Lee if he could go off and sell as in any way insulting to Lucinda, merely practical. With the whole team engaged in discussions no selling was being done. Alex was merely a witness to Lee and Lucinda's conversation and it made sense for him to be selling as he wasn't really involved.

Hmm, I remember being annoyed with Alex when he said that, but I can't remember why now. I'm sure he'd said something just before...

Who exactly has Claire bullied? She may have been a little unfair on Simon during the photography task but there was no evidence that it amounted to bullying.

Who has Helene bullied? She may have taken a harsh tone with Lucinda for 1 minute during the photography task. She expected more from her and didn't get it. That wasn;t bullying.

Who has Lee bullied? He did have words with the group when Kevin got fired, which appeared to be sirected at Sara, but he was not bullying her.

Who has Alex bullied? I have not seen anything from Alex that could be in any way construed as bullying.

There were no bullies and Lucinda, you lasted longer in the contest than perhaps you should have.

You really need to pay more attention to the show if this is your perception, although on the other hand these posts probably say a lot about you.

I'm not going to bother asking a question.

I have to agree.

Her success in frequently being on the winning teams was pure luck, this was made screamingly obvious when she attempted to actively sabotage two tasks yet the team still won. Fortunately Lucinda's affect on a team's performance was negligible, the evidence is incontrovertible. Lucinda lost as PM on the ice cream task.

Why do you think you weren't able to be yourself on the Apprentice?

What degree are you doing?

Lucinda,

If you read this congratulations on getting so far in The Apprentice. You are the true winner and I thought you were brilliant.
It made such a nice change to see a candidate who took a different approach to managing and being involved in tasks. As pm you did a fantastic job. You were relaxed and the people in your team responded well to that. Like you said You don't need to be a bitch in business and I think you proved that to everybody
I also love your style. I looked forward to seeing your outfits every week, they were fab! You certainly brightened up my Wednesday nights and the final wont be the same without you in it

Good luck with whatever you choose to do

Hi Lucinda!!!

If you read this I want to say... you are a complete inspiration to this country... you know how to behave like a decent human being and you are the best team leader ever! I love the clothes you wear too and you are really pretty. I think you were too good for Sir Alan's business empire of bullies.

My question is.... were the other contestants really how they were portrayed? Was the 2-faced nasty behaviour over-dramatised or are they genuinely like that?

Thanks

Love Bex xxx

Claire made remarks about Lucinda to the others whilst she was sitting one of the interviews. It's gang mentality which I class as bullying.

I don't think Alex is a bully, but you've just described cases of bullying with the other two.
Having been on the receiving end of bullying, I think that it requires persistency and an ongoing relationship between the bullier and victim before you can call it bullying.

Lee was saying what he thought in an aggressive and inappropriate way when he was shouting at Sara, enabling the rest of the candidates to chip in. That's not really bullying. The following week he Lucinda and Sara appeared to get on really well, and he gave them the benefit of the doubt.

We all comment on other people, particularly if we are competing against them. Its not bullying to dislike other people and be more pleasant to their face. We can't hope to like everyone we have to work with. I certainly don't.

Alex doesn't bully. He watches for the way the wind falls, and then tells tales. That's not bullying either.

On occasion, as with Sara, some of the group ganged up on her, but I think it was because tempers were frayed. I don't think it was calculated.
