This must be my favourite thred title ever!

I'm not sure if I totally agree with you but I think having his fingers burned by Michelle Dewsberry has affected his boardroom thinking.

The whole show is about him being an caricature of himself these days. He's lost any credibility he had from the early series.
And the bizarre choice of who gets fired in each round only goes to back that up. Would it be too much to say if you don't match Sir Alan's preconceptions of who he wants then you're out, even if you are the best qualified. I certainly don't think so.
Or maybe he just doesn't want to pick anyone who'll become a bigger celebrity than him. The show only has room for one pompous preener

What exactly did Michelle do? Did she leave and say this isn't for me? I thought Michelle was extremely intelligent for the show and showed some great talent.

I like her very much too.
Unfortunately for SAS he felt she enjoyed the media attention more than the serious nature of the job. According to news reports at the time she was pregnant with Syed's baby and very tragically suffered a miscarriage. She eventally left Xenon green only a few months into her contract.

I thought so too! I think he genuinely like Michelle and was moved by her apalling childhood. Sadly as things didn't work out I think he wants to avoid letting people's backgrounds colour his judgement again. Shame he didn't put the same distance into practice with Michael!!

yes he is indeed a w@nker

raef's firing did him no favours

the hate for sir alan grew 10 fold after that hideous and unfair firing

and the soft spot he had for michael was another nail in the coffin

i mean most members thought raef would be final 4 material and he wasnt

does sir alan think the public is stupid he only fired raef for personal reasons

the reason being he never liked raef

don't understand why he doesn't feel that about Claire (applied for BB three times) and Alex (clearly wants to get on the Z-list celeb circuit)

I didn't really like or care for SAS before series one and was pleasantly surprised at how personable he was. I loved the way he really didn't stand for any BS in the BR and gave clear reasons as to why he fired someone. Last night I totally supported his reasons for firing Lucinda; if he doesn't think she'll fit in then it's best to let her go.

The problem is, that he's now left with people who for the past three months the GBP have seen back stab, lie, cheat, and browbeat others into submission. These people have done very little to make us think I don't like him/her but wow they're good at........ Sadly, unless one of the candidates does a complete "u-turn" and shows the viewing public that spark of genius which makes us understand why SAS thinks they are worthy of the title then I think this series will only serve as an embarrassment to him.

The short answer is that I don't think he's a W but, I do believe the editors have stitched him up big time with this series.
