I thought Karen Brady came across very well - I've always had great respect for this lady and she didn't disappoint. I thought she gave Lucinda a very fair interview which is more than I can say for the rest of them!

Yes, I absolutely agree. This is always one of the main parts of The Apprentice I look forward to. These interviewers are merciless and brutal - and take absolutely no prisoners !

I love watching the candidates squirm and wriggle, as they are grilled to within an inch of their lives. Riveting and engrossing car crash TV at it's best.

I agree, it was nice to see she didn't feel she had to be an absolute sod of an interviewer, unlike the other three.

There's a lot more life left in this thread I'm sure! I like that Kelmsley (sp?) chap the best, he looks like he'd be hard but very fair and always has a twinkle in his eye. The one with the goatee is a bit of a closed book however. Claude is just a bulldog who could probably make Sir Alan weep.

I love watching the interviewers. I have real concerns over Kemsley in the sense that I think at times he makes his mind up before he's even met the candidates. I'll stick my neck out and say I saw no point in Karren Brady. I don't think she had anything bad to say about anyone. She seemed to like all of them which is a great thing but not if you're trying to tell Sir Al who to fire. OBVIOUSLY it's heavily edited but I saw nothing about her that said Person X is good, better than the others. Hire them.

They are all entertaining to watch and I love how they make the candidates really battle for the job.

I noticed they all have different aspects of the candidates personalities to probe and i think they do it very well.

I see your point but I saw Karren as trying to emphasise the positive points of all candidates so that the others could then emphasise the negativities.

That's a very fair appraisal of what she did... somehow I still can't work out how we've got to the point where we need someone to tell us how wonderful the candidates are. As if they haven't done it themselves

Paul Kemsley had to probe their strength of character

Claude to see how they reacted to pressure

Bordan = to check fine details and background

Karen the positive and social side

It was nice of Claude to phone up Radio 5 when Lucinda was on last Thursday to apologise for his excessively aggressive interviewing of her and to say he thought she was the best one he'd interviewed.
