What musical could they cast?

I would love them to do My Fair Lady but Eliza would need an excellent actress capable of pulling off both the down and out and well to do. Hmm.

Any thoughts?

I definitely want them to cast Legally Blonde The Musical

In the final of How do you solve a problem like Maria,
Connie sang "As long as he needs me"
and
the last singoff song was "Any dream will do"

so I think we can suspect possibilities from songs they've used so far.(and the fact that the next show will be casting a male role)

Singin' in the Rain - Don Lockwood (Gene Kelly in the film)
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
King and I - probably not... since the king is not British
Jesus Christ SuperStar - highly likely... but how will they phrase.. 'you could be Jesus(?!)'
Evita - Che

Personally i'd love to see Singing in the Rain!!

I'd love them to do West Side Story- they could cast the roles of Maria and Tony or Anita. They prob wouldn't do it though as it isn't a family show!

The only musicals I can think of that are not currently on in the West End that would be suitable are JCS and West Side Story. But I think Graham asking 'which Jesus will The Lord save?' is probably blasphemous...

What about, Mack and Mabel, or Summer Song?

I think whatever it is, it'll have to be:

- Family friendly, a musical which everyone can sing along to, hopefully involving some kids in the production
- Have a song that can work as a catchy title
- Have a song that can work as a farewell song
- Not been in the West End for a while and hoping for a revival
- Either look for a male lead, or both male and female

Ha that is true. Although, I do think Judas is a more interesting role to cast for JCS.

I wouldnt be surprised if they did one for High School Musical - maybe finding a Troy and Gabriella.

Its on London at the moment and with all the hype is bound to be huge.

GOD NO :|

I'd like a proper version of Rent! Not remixed!
They could easily cast Maureen or Joanne! Or for a male Roger or Collins!

In that case...Whistle Down The Wind.

It's an Andrew Lloyd Webber show, and title song has been used in sing-offs before.

Features kids in the production plus song When Children Rule The World is rather catchy.

Tire Tracks and Broken Hearts could be used as the title.

A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste and Unsettled Scores are both big belters to use as farewell songs.

Apart from the touring version it hasn't been in the West End since it first started around 96/97 time and deserves being back as it's brilliant plus the touring version doesn't do it justice.

It could look for "The Man" or "The Man" and "Swallow" as the characters.
