If I was him I would dissociate myself from this programme entirely, or the government should dissociate themselves from him.

I reason it thus:

On this programme he is seen to give weight to the opinions of people such as that stumpy sexist, ageist bully with the stubble and no neck who thinks it was cool to lie on his CV.

I thought the short stubbly one was absolutely vile, a bully and a sexist, agist jerk - so if that's the sort of person that Sir Alan wants to trust then it does cast Sir Alan's suitability for the role of government advisor into question along with it further brings into question the goverment's suitability to govern, let along call itself a labour government (more like oppression of the working classes from what I can gather).

He made up his mind about people and didn't give them a chance. Alex is the biggest slimeball going, but bull-neck loved him because "he's young" (said twice, with emphasis). Oh yes - 24, wasn't it?

He launched into an immediate and uncalled for attack on Lucinda because of her hobbies. One could be equally nasty about any hobbies, but I did not see him do this to anyone else.

He was fairly vile to the other woman too, whose name I forgot (long dark hair, fairly attractive) but was big on mouthy, piggy eyes Claire - piggy eyed bully meets piggy eyed bully = love at first sight I suppose. Good job he's married - I would hate to think of them breeding!

And this is the sort of person Sir Alan wants to be seen as someone to impress.

I also thought AMS looked weak and unable to see what was going on under his own nose, either that or he wants to be seen to be favouring complete slimeballs like Alex and stumpyneck.

Hmm...

The guy seems to only do it for the fame. Sure he is a sucessful buisnessman but that did not make him a household name. Bet he absoloutly despises who he's going to have to give a job off this show but that is what he is signed up to do. Not only that but he will have been told to get rid of favourites to keep it interesting, like Raef and Simon, which is a typical reality tv show. I don't think he'd ever walk away from it.

That chap reminds me of your bog standard Essex wideboy car dealer. (Apologies to the many Essex blokes who don't fit into that daft stereotype, but I had the misfortune to live in Essex for a while so have witnessed this spectacle too many times in reality.)

Don't forget though that this is effectively pantomime characterisation - it's all for the show, to raise the viewing figures and cause controversy, and judging by the latest audience share reports it has been a very successful ploy.

As for our hero Suralan, he comes across to me as being stuck in the 80s still, in several respects.
