I was actually miserable throguhtout the entire launch show because there wasn't really anyone with star quality until Kat appeared.

She's the one that has everyone talking, especially at college with an overwhelmingly positive response, whilst many of the other housemates are forgotten already!

I just hope she doesn't turn out to be this year's Carole who I had such high hopes for on the launch show.

why oh why did BB not make Mario and Kat have a relationship? Could you imagine that?!

Thinking about it, the last HM who went into the house from BB5 onwards has been a huge character and either loved or loathed by viewers.

How does it get chosen what order the housemates enter?

I thought it was random but they obviously put the first four housemates in that order on purpose last ngiht, but what determines the rest?

Not a clue, but I know Nadia told the producers she wanted to be the final housemate to enter and she was.

Other than that, I think they definately put big characters in towards the beginning and end of the show, with all others just in a random order.

BB5 First in was Marco, last was Nadia.
BB6 First in was Derek, last was Kemal.
BB7 First in was Bonnie, last was Nikki.
BB8 First in was Samanda, last was Carole.

All of the above housemates had VTs which were pretty outrageous or 'different', IMO. This year, they put Lisa and Mario in first together, with the novelty of them being the first BB couple. And we had our lovely Kathreya in with a hilarious VT last!

the last housemate is always the "best" one, as producers want viewers to stay watching.

Just out of interest, do you follow the same type of faves every year?

For instance, I love the larger-than-life characters, in contrast to most of this forum, like Nadia, Kemal, Lea and Pete Burns.
