I had heard that a few of the cities were selling quite well, but there were also many of Connie's fans who did not even know there was a tour because of the bad advertising. Apparently, when she was still in SOM and people would go visit her at the stage door, she would ask people if they were coming to the tour and very few people even knew there was a tour. I wouldn't blame that on Connie--I'd blame it on bad advertising and poor management by the promoters. If it didn't sell as well as they'd liked, it's because they didn't give it a chance.”

I know for sure that Connie has a TV drama coming up at Christmas and a second album due out around the same time. She apparently has other projects in the pipeline, as well. I wouldn't write her off just yet.”

Oh, I thought it was something new. I've seen that before, and from what I have heard, a great deal of the negative allegations in there are heavily exaggerated. It's also from the Daily Mail, which seemed to have it out for Connie from the beginning.

I do hope so. As I said earlier I wouldn't believe anything written in the DM, but others have said they've read negative things on other boards about Connie which is such as shame if it is not true (I personally don't think it is).

I have heard a few things about her acting........wasnt nice

Well, I've seen her acting live, and I thought it was wonderful. I've seen several different productions of SOM over the years and Connie was the best Maria I've seen.

Also, about her personally, I do not really know her, but I have met her and attended her last night party and she was nothing but lovely to me and everyone else I saw her interacting with. There were also many SOM cast members at that party and Connie seemed to get along very well with them, particularly Simon Burke, with whom I saw her having a long animated chat. She also spent a great deal of time chatting happily with Lesley Garrett. Also, I know people who do know her well, and I'd rather take their word as to what she's really like than tabloids who just want to dig up dirt (and sometimes manufacture it) to sell papers.

As for the Daily Mail, they seem to have been out to get Connie from the beginning because of how she was cast as Maria. The columnist Baz Bamigboye in particular has made no secret of his disdain for both the TV show and Connie herself from the beginning, before SOM even opened. I would take anything about Connie in the Mail, particularly from Mr. B, with a HUGE grain of salt.

in the RVP 2006, her SOM performance was great vocally but the acting was really really terrible. the way she talked was so forced. i am sure she improved as she did win the critics choice award.

And that matters why? Daniel Boys had and still has a big fangirl following, and you can only wish you had as many women interested in you as John Barrowman has

It's such a shame he's gay. He's so hot and, from interviews I've seen, is a charming person. I saw him in Avenue Q - it was bloody brilliant! No he wasn't Joseph but he is an amazing, talented performer with a long career ahead of him.

I have seen Daniel perform five times, and met him (briefly) several times. He is absolutely lovely and has a fantastic voice.

My reply to melvin-thingy was meant to say: "what is your problem exactly??"

Gosh it's a love fest in here!!!

I miss Zoe - no matter how good Lee was I agreed with her when she told him he was a bit rubbish. (only for that performance.)

I think we lacked a voice of reason this year.
