I thought exactly the same. Does this programme not get big viewing figures in the US? I would have thought they would have a round-up each night even if it's only 30 mins like here in the UK. There always seems like there's plenty going on.

BBUSA has a massive Internet following but it's nowhere near as big on TV as BBUK is. Also you would never see National Newspapers campaigning or even doing daily articles like they do in Britain.

Then again BBUK is not as big on the Internet as BBUSA is. Probably because the only way you can watch theUSA feeds is online, just like BBUK1.

I never thought about the newspaper coerage. Us Brits do go way over the top with that. The show is great but let's not get carried away...

I have been keeping up using mortystv.com coverage of BBUSA and two snippets of information that stunned me, the site says they had 5,000 applicants, I am convinced itmust be a typo, but crikey ifit were true and that is with a $500,000 prize.

Secondly it makes a point of mentioning that BBUK makes the front page of some UK newspapers every day.

He also mentioned that last year BBUSA 3 only 50,000 people had live streaming

I reckon the yanks don't get BB, I suspect there are more people from the UK watching BBUSA.

I like it this way though because once they pick the UK housemates they know they are 'made' hence why they are so excited when they get evicted.

If we had a David in the house this year he would have walked the final. Its kind of sad because all i have read is one in depth interview with him since he left the house.

I agree with your last point. They would definately get more bother if they come over to the UK if Channel 4 would have had the balls to put the HL shows on C4.

It always brings a smile to my face when they show last years houseguests because that is the first time i have seen them on camera since the finale!

The fame aspect of BB is what ruined our own which is one of many reasons i prefer BB USA.

Now everyone probably gets why i said that the subdued eviction mirrors what life on the outside is like for them after they are voted out.
