http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/realityt...h-threats.html

I don't rate him at all as a candidate and don't like the way he has conducted himself in the show, but that is pretty harsh!!!

It shows that some people do take the show too seriously!!!

Some people really shouldn't be allowed access to a television set or a computer without medical supervision.

I suppose the kind of person who does things like that are the same kind of people who said that they were pleased that Nicholas had almost been killed in that freakish accident the other week....

Ditto, really don't like Alex at all, but to wish death on someone

Dreadful how low some people can go when they take a dislike to someone on TV.

It does not surprise me that he has recieved these mails as you only have to look at what is said on the threads here to reliase how some people live the TV series.

How did they get in touch with him? Its not as if his e-mail address is in the public domain.

I cant see "apprentice@bbc.co.uk - attn Alex Wotherspoon" being terribly productive.

Nobody deserves that. Bit silly to put your own email address out into the public domain though.

There will always a few people who step over the line.

Could be a Big Brother fan possibly getting Alex mixed up with the Alex on there at the moment.
Seriously though there is no need to send death threats to someone over a television show.

Big deal somebody sent an empty meaningless threat. WOW

While I agree that it most definitely is an empty threat (which is why I deliberately did not use the more provocative heading chosen by DS), the fact remains that just by sending a message of that nature, someone somewhere has taken things too far. It's also technically a criminal offence to send hate mail...

I'm susprised this has made the news at all.

Pretty much all reality tv contestants receive multiple "death threats".

Alex is a bozo but what sort of sad loser would send him death wishes?

*shakes head*

Some people.

I just remembered Nicholas got death threats after his one lone appearance on the show. I remember reading it in one of the daily rags, think it was the Sun.

Some people have such sad lives the TV is there only outlet into life and take it as real instead of what it is reality TV

While it is out of order and the person who sent it needs to be given a check up, it really shouldn't surprise anyone. People in the spotlight get threatening messages all the time , he isn't the first.

Oh I know it is a crime and I know it is sick but publishing details (aimed at the Beeb and the Media not you) is just giving the idiots who write these threats what they crave - a reaction, it'll motivate others to do it.

I question the BBC's et al reasons for making these threats public, it wouldn't be for a bit extra publicity would it?

I think it was Alex himself that made it public, not the BBC...
