I really am beginning to pity you beyonsay.
You seem to only come on here when you want to let off steam, personally attack people or spread a bit of poison around the threads.

Most of us come on here for a bit of fun and light relief, it is not pleasant for the rest of us to come across your bile.
For example, yesterday I had been out for a walk and to get my papers, it was beautiful weather and I was in a good mood, I popped on here for a minute and came across a couple of your nasty posts in what had been quite a pleasant thread - I did not feel so happy any more.

You say you are a neurosurgeon. You also constantly criticise the intelligence of the rest of us in comparison to yourself. Whilst I do not know what everyone does, those that I do know are well educated with excellent jobs / careers.
I have been in 'your' field, if this wildly true, for many years and have not yet come across another doctor with your attitude / bedside manner. The attitude towards patients / others is just as important as the skill with the knife surely?

ps. this is off-topic, as was your post, so I do not intend to reply to you further.
Hopefully we can get back on topic now.

Pity me? Save your pity for Alex as he really needs it! One year on and the sad loser still has not come to terms with the fact that he lost to Jonny and Kate. He needs help urgently and a new boyfriend. Maybe then he might not sound so frustrated everytime he opens up his rotten crocodile-like mouth to spout crap about Jonny and Kate who would wipe the floor with him if he ever had the courage to say that crap to their faces. COWARD !!!

For the record I am not a neurosurgeon yet and I have never claimed to be one. I have stated that I am a medical student or did you conveniently forget to read that part?

It doesn't matter what your current status is, anon2's point still holds -- as an aspiring medic, your attitude in how you relate to others ("bedside manner") is as important as technical skill or diagnostic acumen.
From your posts you come across as something of an angry, belligerent, bilious soul. In the high-stress pressured working environment of frontline clinical care, there is no room for vitriolic or stroppy tendencies. I hope you will cultivate the tolerance, patience, understanding, tact etc essential to being a good healthcare professional. And your future patients and colleagues will love you all the more for it.

No, I do not believe I did read that, sorry - maybe you could enlighten me as to where you said it?
I read that your 'speciality' was neurosurgery and that 'being a brain surgeon.....' etc etc.
I deduced, on the banned thread, that you were at most a medical student, , in which case you are many hopes / years off your dream.

In any case I am sure that the rest of us are not remotely concerned with what you do, only with what you post. I don't recall anyone else stating what they do or so using their 'profession' (which you do not have as yet) to excuse their posts or run down others.
For the rest of my opinion on this please see mystic's excellent post above.

thanks anon. I just had the pleasure of reading that banned thread, which somehow I missed first time round Here's the relevant bit copied and pasted:

I will take that as a compliment as it is useful to be entirely narrow-minded and focused when it comes to my field of speciality which is neurosurgery! I am not interested in having a rounded knowledge of subjects, just brain surgery will do me fine thanks.
As for intelligence I think 11 gcses, 4 Alevels, and a predicted first in my medical degree, plus Mensa membership means I am no idiot contrary to what you think. ”

A few comments for Beyonsay:

1. you stated: "my field of speciality which is neurosurgery"
-- that's a clear claim. Not "my intended field.... "
However since you go on to imply that you are still a student ("a predicted first in my medical degree"), I'll concede you the benefit of the doubt and put it down to an inadvertently misleading typo omission.

2. "I am not interested in having a rounded knowledge of subjects, just brain surgery will do me fine thanks. "
-- Before you will be able to specialize in neurosurgery, you will have to undergo what is known as General Professional Training for at least three years (probably more) after your medical qualification. In other words you will find yourself needing to acquire a rounded knowledge of subjects, at least in medicine and surgery, and not "just brain surgery will do..". Neurosurgery comes under Higher Specialist Training, which you can only do after completing general training and passing the royal college membership exams. But as a medical student I'm sure you knew that already.

3. "a predicted first in my medical degree "
-- You confuzzle me here. For your information, medical degrees in this country are NOT classed. (they can be either pass degrees or simply with honours). Care to say which university you attend?
