Tre slams this year's candidates ahead of tonight's final
Guardian website just released an article, in which Tre thinks that these candidates out of all four series, and I agree. http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2008.../realitytv.bbc And here are a few snipets from the article on the 4 finalists: Helen: Quote:
Just completely useless
Alex:Quote:
A snake
Claire:Quote:
A good salesperson but she is nothing more
Lee: Quote:
The only one who is half decent. I want him to win.
I disagree with him on Lee though. He isn't even half decent. I don't want any of them to win.

tonight's final
Why do all the tv listings say it's tomorrow? I'm confused. Edit: It is tomorrow! From the Guardian article: Quote:
This year's series of The Apprentice comes to a close tomorrow night on BBC1, with four candidates in the running to win a job with Sir Alan Sugar - Lee McQueen, Claire Young, Alex Wotherspoon and Helene Speight.

![]() Several of last year's motley crew, who have all known for ages already who won series 4, have said since the early stages that their money is on Lee (I'll find the article and post it). Lee was first in the special The Apprentice: The Final Five that was shown the other day... it wasn't done in alphabetical order. There are a load of other clues but right now I can't remember them!

Claire and Lee are the best candidates. Funny that they are in the same team in the final.

Tre has far more business acumen than any of the 4 finalists in this series. He could sell art as well as fish in france and coffee in the streets of London. He was a grafter in the gardening episode. He was good at marketing and branding in the trainers episode when the others didn't have a clue. More importantly, he was always able to identify the problems and offer solutions. He was probably a bit aggressive but he calmed down as the series progressed and wasn't given enough credit for it.
For me Tre was simply the best. SAS himself said that Tre's only problem was his temper. Given what we have seen in this series, I believe we can describe Tre as "calm and sensitive"!!! |

"If you are intelligent you are not in it purely for the prize of the job. You want something to come of it," Azam adds.
This seems to be the strategy of most of them year with the job coming second to what may come as a result of being a "high profile" candidate.Quote:
He says he is still in touch with Ambrose and Katie Hopkins from last year's series, but not all the contestants. "Most of them I didn't really like," Azam admits.
Interesting that he still keeps in touch with Katie and Simon. The two people who were completely lambasted on this forum.

They scarcely compare to Macdonalds trainees never mind last year's candidates! I liked Lee, but he's turned out to be shit. Alex - 'a snake' describes him well, though he has no talents, apart from being 24 (is that a business skill?). Helene - nothing to say about her. Leaving Claire whom I rather like - she does have potential.
Would be a great ending if Suralan decided not to hire any of them! |

I've been enjoying Tre's Apprentice blog this series (knocks Katie's Apprentice blog into oblivion) and I've mostly agreed with what he said.
I agree with him about this year's crop in general. With a few honourable exceptions (Raef, Lucinda, Sara and Simon; possibly Shazia if we'd got to see more of her, and really that's all), they've either been odious, inept or both. |

Would be a great ending if Suralan decided not to hire any of them! Helene winning for being invisible defeats the whole point of the show. Alex isn't much brighter than Lee and who would want to work with him after seeing him in action. Claire might frighten some but at least you can use her in more than one role without expecting a complete foul up. |
