I have been looking for a DVD player with DIVX capabilities for the last year or so, does anyone know if this sort of thing exists, I want a standalone unit rather than a PC/PC clone system. I've been informed that some new units will be comming into the UK within the next few months but they are expected to be priced at around £200 - £250, which is way above my budget
I've got upto £100 to spend but may up that depending on the quality/features available.

there's a fair few kicking about now, with the first being the KISS units released at the start of the year.

if your budget is £100 for one either wait till after christmas or buy a second hand xbox.

The Kiss has been around a lot longer than that IIFC 9or one very much like it -, anyway) - was nearer £450 when it 1st came out

for not that much more then £100 - £138 in fact

But that LiteOn does look interesting since also does Xvid too, plus LiteOn is a bit more of a know quantity than Kiss (AFAIK)

yamada do a divx compatable dvd player for under £100 and is due for release at the beginning of september. you can find it at both amazon and ebuyer.

its called dvx 6100.

same internals as the liteon with sigma chip and same playing spec just without the memory card reader.
