It was clearly a fix. The other 2 were put together for a reason, leaving the 2 faves to go through. Their perfume idea was better.......Clare was fab but as someone else said, Sir A doesn't like strong women, nor does he like women of child-bearing age. !
We have a very small statistical base for these assumptions, specifically 4 with a breakdown of 3 male and 1 female. Would we be questioning his attitides if it was 3 female and 1 male; would we br suspicious of it being decided by turn and turn about if it was 2 women, 2 men?

If we get to series ten and the split is 3/7 in favour of the men then there might be an argument for sexism.

Looking way back at Series One, the scandalous decision was really letting Saira into the final in the first place. That task at Tottenham Hotspur was horrific, but she should really have already gone on the advertising task.

Having said that, I have felt that he got it "wrong" in the other three finals...

As for the allegations of sexism, I'm not sure about that at the final stage, but there were moments in the interviews episode this time that made me wince.

I think he got it right between Tim and Saira. For me, James and/or Miriam would have been better than Saira. Though not to say she was incompetent, but did make big mistakes oon the tasks.

I think then he definitely got it wrong with Michelle and Simon. I wasn't a big fan of the Badger it must be said, but her record was far better. Michelle was such a surprise winner but perhaps he thought she suited the task he had in mind.

Kristina equally should have been picked over Simon. She was far stronger throughout. I guess there's the argument that Simon is more suited to that property development type world, but as a landlord of a few flats he was allegedly dreadful, so that argument barely holds up.

And this time around, I think he had a good though tough choice between Lee and Claire, but I think Claire should have won really. I like Lee and he has done well, but I think Claire has that extra spark.

But again, I feel it's a case of choosing the quieter candidate than risk a generally better business candidate who might be more vocal.

Sir Alan seems to be looking for an Apprentice type person, not someone who is already the finished article so his decisions make perfect sense to me.
Makes sense to me too

Lee was the better team player thoughout and was a fairly good team leader too, Claire during the photo task!!!! I wont go into it but not a team player

Tim had stayed in the background during series 1, which is probably why he ended up winning. I didn't really rate any of the contestants from that year; Saira was loud, but I diidn't see her as being especially strong.

As others have said, Ruth was probably too good for the job.

I wasn't overally impressed with Kristina in series 3, but Simon seemed like a complete buffoon to me.

Clare was just a third rate Ruth Badger - fairly good at selling but not much else. However, I rated her over Lee.

Lee was more likeable, so I'm glad he won.

Lee is a worthy winner in my opinion!
