I am basing my opinion of one aspect of Lucinda's behaviour on a clear and verifiable instance of such.

You, on the other hand, seem to just hate the poor woman (and she's not the only woman of whom you have an irrational hatred, IIRC).

Whilst you obviously have 'issues' with some of the female candidates I am simply reacting to a specific piece of misbehaviour.

The real issue is that Helene took the training yet claimed she never. Lucinda rightly corrected her and asked Raef to back her up. Even though Raef didn't technically lie, he witheld the truth to the detriment of Lucinda.

Exactly. Lucinda has shown herself to be the bigger person, so why not carry on that way. By doing what she did, she ran the risk of lowering herself to Helene's level.

Simon was treated every bit as badly by Claire, yet he took the moral highroad in the show, and not only worked to the best of his ability to help her team win but made a point of offering her support in the boardroom. I'm not saying Lucinda needed to go that far, but holding a grudge like she clearly has all these months really isn't healthy for her...

She lied once before remember - in the boardroom when she said to Sir Alan, Lucinda never told her she was no good with computer beforehand. When at the start we all saw Lucinda did.

I guess Lucinda just didn't want to leave it with everyone thinking they're best pals and everything's sorted. She had a hard time, that's all. And Helene was obviously bullshitting so she didn't want to let it lie.

It just came across badly, that's all. She should've let it go after the first time Raef refused to comment.

As for playing dumb, Lucinda wasn't playing dumb ever I think. With the cars and computers, she just didn't know what to do because they're obviously not her areas. She's really not one for lying. She just tells the truth at sometimes inappropriate times.

Watching back the "You're Fired" confrontation, my only reaction is "oooooooooooh!"

We have never seen enough footage to know just how much of the training Helene was involved with.

Just because the editing showed her looking over Lucinda's shoulder for a couple of seconds does not mean that she spent any more time on it than that.

You seem to find the most extraordinary and fanciful ways of avoiding the facts and the logical inferences that one can draw.

Lucinda behaved in exactly the same childish and inappropriate manner she has conducted herself throughout the series.

Forgive me if I'm misremembering, but didn't Helene mention the confidences after Lucinda did her bit on YF? And if so, how does Helene mentioning confidences justify Lucinda's comments on YF?

I'm impressed with many of the forum posters tonight who haven't let their regard for Lucinda blind them to how badly she behaved tonight.

Not suggesting Lucinda wasn't being truthful for a moment, but based on what we actually saw we don't really know this at all.

Raef clearly knew she had the training, otherwise Lucinda wouldn't have had him to turn to for confirmation. In addition if Lucinda was lying I think for putting him on the spot like that he would have turned round and stuck up for Helene. However he never did.

Helene was at the original training session, it was shown on the photo task.

I also remember Helene claiming she was crap at computers too.

I don't recall seeing everyone receiving the training.

Lucinda never argued in the task that Helene was as capable as her in the IT task, this suggests to me that Lucinda had received training that other people hadn't. If Lucinda could have claimed others could do the job then she would have done. Raef was in the same room and I think it is likely he would have intervened had he been trained to do the job as well.

There was also a meeting filmed in which Lucinda was specifically given the IT element of the task.

All the evidence points ( bar Lucinda's bawling ) that Lucinda received some training that others did not.

I, and a few other posters, OTOH, take a more balanced view and are prepared to admit that she does have faults, one of which only surfaced this evening.

Because I was working on the posts for the rank the candidate thread, I have actually watched every episode of the series this past week, including that one, and I didn't see that at all.

He just kept out of it.
