Sir Alan was looking for an apprentice, not the finished article!

I thought that today's decision was the right one because Lee would make a better apprentice than Clare. Clare seemed to be very rounded as she was and I think that Lee was a much more mouldable individual than Clare. All these people saying Clare were better are probably right....she was a better all round candidate but not the better apprentice. Lee will learn far more than Clare could have.

Plus Im sure that Clare wont be short of offers since she does have great skill.

She was too good for the job that Lee has been given imho. She would have got bored very quickly.

Apprentice is just the name of the show.

The person will not have a great deal of contact with Alan Sugar and will be farmed out to work on other things. Its not like they become his protege and he teaches them all he knows.

She said on Radio 1 this morning that she's going to meet with Karren Brady about the possibility of working for her.

SAS is not gonna spoonfeed the winner and hold their hand throughout their career at one of his companies so the title of the Apprentice is just that , nothing more.
