Claire proved to be a fantastic candidate and did not lie on her CV or need to use a spellchecker. Did Michelle put SAS off hiring girls?

Nonsense.

Lee is more what he was looking for.

He always go for the quieter candidate;

Tim over Saira
Michelle over Ruth
Simon over Kristina
and now Lee over Claire

How about a one armed, black, jewish, transexual OLD woman... ?

I think The Apprentice is always a hard one to call simply because there are so many roles on offer in SAS's company that you just don't know what exactly he is looking for in the winner.

I really liked Claire but I've got to admit overall Lee was a stronger candidate. Look at some of the earlier tasks where Claire tried to sabotage the other candidates, Lee never once tried anything underhand to destroy anyone else and managed to keep his integrity throughout the whole show (apart from the CV misdemeanour of course).

In his summing-up last night SAS called Lee "most convincing". One reason was new info to me, that Lee has never ever been hauled into the Sin Bin of Three. The few times Lee's team did lose, teammates recognised his contribution and never thought Lee deserving of eviction. By contrast I believe Claire despite of prominent performance footage was 5 times in the Sin Bin of Three.

This is a very pragmatic way of evaluating candidate merit outside of the danger zone to balance against eloquent defence pleas from candidates inside the danger zone. Does anybody have stats on Sin Bin appearances in previous series, whether The Apprentice tended to hardly ever appear in the bottom three?

Raef's record in this respect was only marginally worse than Lee's -- how many times was Raef in the bottom three?

It was a similar performance pattern with James Best(?) in series one, James who never lost until SAS summarily fired him (in Interviews Week?) because he thought James was over-qualified for Amstrad and just in it for kicks.

but then the same happened with Paul Tulip (knob) and SAS said he'd 'slipped under his radar' and that he didn't know him well enough

Seems to me if you're a one armed, black, jewish, transexual woman you'll have a lot more going for you in this country than if you were a white, straight person. Seems we get overlooked in this country just for being white, English and straight. Gosh, if I was black, disabled and gay I could blame everything and everyone for being a racist and a homophobe and I'd get all the benefits too! Didn't realise being English, white and straight is considered obscene in some quarters now!

I don't think there's any sexism in the Apprentice and I don't think there's any racism in Big Brother. There's always a small element of people in this country who like to play the race card and sexist card etc.

There's more racism directed against white people in this country - but nothing gets done about that.

Oh, I wish I was black, disabled, gay, etc etc - I'd have a big house and a load of great benefits to live on.

I dont believe last nights decision was sexist in any way. Claire had a great journey through the series but even the interviewers did not think she had totally taken on board feedback. Lee had a better journey ... excellent team leader and player as proved but never appearing on YF'd.

Claire is a great lass and will do well in life. Lee deserved the break so the right person won

Not only shoudl the applicants be male, they should be working class, have very little education and be extremely rough around the edges. Guaranteed winners!

I would certainly say don't bother applying if you're from a 'corporate' background whatever your sex

Such hysterical, nonsensical exaggeration is just as ridiculous as unnecessary, over-the-top "politcal correctness''.
