I know - and initially I thought it amusing when everyone repeated it - but it's lost originality. tbh the constant repetition reminds me of kids in the playground - pointing and taunting. I suppose if some are still getting enjoyment out of it - it's not my place to criticize, although I do think that most of them said things that made them look like pillocks: Lee speaking in the third person, Ian saying he couldn't spell or say the word loser, Kevin - well almost everything he said; and as for that good Jewish boy Michael.

My memory is that at least for most of the programmes I actually watched (i.e. not the very start of the series), it was Michael playing the youth card, rather than Alex, who was using it in the last week or two to explain his light CV relative to those of the other, older contestants.

Alex totally over played the age card throughout the last two episodes.
Michael was given plenty of stick elsewhere about his own actions which are not relevant here in the slightest.

Alex was sly and completely unpleasant on the show. He clearly was passionate about the job and he was prepared to do anything to get it. However, he didn't win and I think this was painful enough for him to think about his behaviour.
Alex is clearly a bright young man but he needs more years to gain experience dealing with people. I think he learned from his mistakes and will improve. I expect him to be a very successful man in the future.

One would hope so, but he seems pretty unrepentant in his DS interview, saying he didn't regret his behaviour at all etc....
^ let's hope that he is going to do something about it. Otherwise, it would be such a waste because I think he can be a very capable business man if he accepts criticism.

In all honesty, I found it quite disheartening to read the DS interview, because to me it showed he was playing a part on the Your Fired show, because he clearly hasn't taken the issue on board like he was saying he had at all.
And if he hasn't taken it on board after this, I rather wonder if he ever will....

Alex's definition of team work is to quietly sharpen his knives whenever his colleges turn their back on him.....
I do think it might have made for a more interesting final if the candidates had been paired up differently, but I suspect SAS wanted Claire and Lee as his final two and hence he paired them together...

FFS. What on earth are you talking about? Helene was unhelpful, unimaginative, obstructive and generally useless throughout the task and lost the task for her pairing. Even the other candidates who returned agreed. Alex has her to blame for not getting the job.

Neither should he.
He fought his corner every time someone who saw him as a threat tried to unfairly blamed for the failure of a task and he spoke his mind when others kept quiet. I don't see what is wrong with that. Shame that that is seen by some as wrong in these namby pamby times. Good on him and good luck to him.

No, it was the repeating of "I'm only 24" by Alex enough times to attract nationwide attention and have it adopted as a catchphrase - in a similar was to "Thats what I'm talking about!"
There's a clip of them on the Apprentice website arguing about whether the perfume should be "Dual" or "Duel" and Alex says at least twice, "OK we'll go with "Dual" and Helen keeps going "Alex, what's the problem, why do you think there's a problem?"
I don't like Alex but Helene was deliberately being difficult, unhelpful and obstructive. I could work with him but I don't think I could work with her.
