Buenos Aires must have been a difficult song!

I will happily say that Jessie's performence of fighter was utterly terrible, but that doesn't meen I dislike her.
I thought she was brilliant.

Rachel needed to step up her performences and she did.
The joke about the dress, is nothing to do with her becuase she doesn't dress herself.”

"Step up her performances"? I'm not even going to bother trying to defend her on here any more.

Ok. Now calm down.
She did get a lot better. What are you complaining about.
Maybe you thought that she was the best from the begining, but some others didn't, including me.
And I really think that she did herself proud, and showed her full potential. That is what the contest was about. She always had a good vioce, but it wasn't showing IMO at the begining.

Sorry but the red tights took the biscuit for me.

I liked Rachel but with hindsight I think her experience could have been a disadvantage for her as she knew how to perform well in a theatre and it didn't come over so well on the TV at times. It was criminal that she went out over Sam especially when she'd just given a superb performance of Cabaret.

Contary to what others think, I actually really really really liked Buenos Aires! I found it much more lively than the Madonna version in the film and actually thought it suited as a duet quite well and both bought a different side to it - in fact it actually portrayed the character of Buenos Aires itself; a place of immense differences between rich and poor for example, particularly in the time Evita was set.
Aside from that quite poncy explanation (sorry everyone that's just how I can describe how it came across to me!), it was really catchy and they did well with all the words!

I also can't stand Madonna but I really love the Evita film.

It might have had something to do with the absolutely adorable Senor Banderas.....

Hi Mama - long time no speak! I'll bet M&S shares went up in value when Senor Banderas did that ad!

Might watch the film on your recommendation then.

It is a good film - Madonna is restrained - no conical bras and the songs are fab. (IMO it's the best thing she's done, not difficult, I know!)

And antonio....he makes the whole thing lurvellly!

Hope you are good Bud!

Isn't it weird how different peoples tastes are? I loved this song & this duet, especially Jessie. Maybe it's cause I really loved Jessie and thought Rachel was a bit of a non starter for me. Well, it would be a really boring world if everyone liked the same thing!!
