Do you match your nail varnish ?
I just wondered if anyone here matches their fingers with their toes as far as nail varnish colours go ? As a bloke I have no idea why I am curious about it really.
Also what is the difference between nail varnish and polish ? Or are they identical in all but name ? |

Sometimes I'll match my toes with my nails. All depends on if my toes are on show or not lol and what outfit I wear.

No. Big fashion mistake in my book. Overkill.
I paint my toenails with normally quite a strong colour - I currently have on 'I'm Not Really A Waitress' by OPI ![]() http://images.glow.com/catalog/100166/300x300/3842.jpg But my fingernails are always with 'Goodbye Yellow' which is like a cheat French manicure made by Barbara Daly for Tesco. It is the most amazing stuff and a right bargain price. They are my natural nails - carefully cultivated with OPI Nail Envy - although everyone thinks they're false OPI nail colours are called lacquers - they are incredibly hard wearing and better than any varnish/polish I've found. Another big, BIG no no for me is French manicures on toes. Bleeeeee. Victoria Beckham always has it done and it looks bloody awful like you have really curly toenails. Yuk. |

I always have different colours on toes and fingernails! Always a strong colour on the toes though.
At the moment, I'm wearing Leighton Denny's "Not Tonight" (glossy chocolate) on my toes and "Off the Hook" (metallic purple) on my fingernails so I look like a big bar of Cadbury's hahaha! |

I paint my toes always and when I do paint my fingers I match them.
I don't match my fingernail polish to my lipstick as I don't ever wear lipstick. I've never found one that doesn't dry out my lips (and I have tried!!) to I wear Nivea clear lip balm instead! xx |

No difference though! |

I do sometimes, but sometimes I like having a bit of difference.
I love painting my nails though. I am particularly liking darker colours such as black, dark blue and purple. |

I always wear a chocolate brown or dark ruby on my toes, and if i'm going anywhere special I will paint my fingernails in the same colour. 9 times out of 10 tho,I just paint my toes and use a clear one on the fingernails

it used to be the done thing to match, but now its a bit of a fashion faux pax - in a few years it will go back round again.
My personal preference is to wear a strong dark colour on my toes and either a total contrast strong colour on my nails or a complimenting much lighter shade of the colour I have on my toes. |

oh and as for me i tend to wear a bright/dark colour on my toe nails and then keep my finger nails simple with a french manicure. my nails are real, a good length and not that falso sharp square shape so they dont look WAG-ish. Unlike tweacle tart i think french is ok on toes providing the nails are kept short

is nail envy really as good as OPI make out? its a little expensive for me to try out without hearing somebodys opinion other than a salesperson!
I use it in conjunction with their Avoplex cuticle oil and spend a good five to ten minutes massaging my cuticles every night (when I'm being dedicated) My nails tend to grow naturally quite hard now, thanks to OPI, but I had a period of illness recently and they kept splitting so I started back on the Nail Envy and they were lovely again within about four weeks. I tend to get all my OPI stuff now off E-Bay as it's a lot cheaper and there are some really good specialist sellers there who have a lot of the discontinued laquers in stock.

Absolutely. I promise you that I never had nails before I discovered it.

Ebay is great for discontinued stuff, and there are also some US shops where I buy OPI, China Glaze, Essie and other cool brands like Zoya, where the postage isn't too bad. I'm trying to control myself now cos I'm on a budget and I must have at least one of every shade of every colour I like already
I don't have any financial stock in any of these companies but I help keep them afloat!http://www.8ty8beauty.com http://www.head2toebeauty.com http://www.beverlybeaute.com I have to thank the nail board at www.makeupalley.com for pointing those out to me ![]() And I don't think I ever match toes and fingers, gives me 2 colours to play with! Plus I'm too lazy to change my toe polish as often as my nails... have Nails Inc Hanover Square (denim blue) on my fingers today, and H&M Bad Temper (sparkly deep purple) on my toes

Not normally! At the moment I have hot pink toes and dark blue fingers. I dont even match to my outfit though. Saying that I normally go for the dark colours on fingers, although I've taken to clashing. Eg Rimmel hot pink 60 seconds with my pale mintish green top
From that description it sounds hideous. its not! |

Sometimes yeah. At the moment I've got China Glaze - Japenese Koi on my fingers, and Zoya - kinda a burnt orangey colour on my toes
i'm addicted to painting my nails.

I wear 4 different colours on my toes. My fingernails need doing every 3 days, so match my outfits to them.

My fingers are painted in 6 colours - diagonal stripes of dark pink, neon pink, neon orange, neon yellow, neon green and neon blue on each nail. People always comment on them.
I'm not into nail art as such, but I always paint my nails with several colours and designs. |

I never intentionally match my fingers and toes... my toenails are always either red or pink and I change the colour of my fingernails daily to match my outfit. Sad but true.
I love black or other dark colours if I feel my outfit is too firly, and if I'm wearing very dark clothes I'll have my nails a bright pink to brighten me up a bit. |
